Any other cool parents here buy an ITS to be their family car? 😂

My boy is getting close to outgrowing his Uppababy Mesa Infant Car Seat and I was wondering if anyone had a rec for a Car Seat that works well in our cars.

I run two Chicco 2-in-1 seats in the back for my 5 and 8 year olds. The 8 year old's seat has the back removed so it's essentially a booster seat now. Honestly any quality seat would be fine.

Agreed. It's really rather roomy in the back. Surprisingly so. I had to ditch the graco grows4me or whatever it's called front facing seat only because the height reached a point of hitting the roof liner with my 6yo. I didn't like the way it did the backless booster bit, so I got one of the dedicated boosters that still clips into the latch for just keeping it in place. He loves it. Easiest car we have for him to get in and out of.

For my 21mo I still have a graco rear facing seat and it has plenty of room left. The roof line makes it annoying to get her in and out, and I'd be lying if I didn't say I bonked her head a few times (not that hard). We just got one of the graco 360 seats for my wife's X7, and I love how easy it is to maneuver getting the kid in. I would say go that route to deal with the roofline problem!

We also had my daughter in a doona for a while and it made life incredibly easy. Even with the base, it clicked in and fit without hassle. Highly recommend it, especially if you're a family always on the move! Though, if you're out of the messa, you're out of the doona.

For reference, I'm 6ft even and my wife is 5'9". Absolutely zero space issues for anyone.

I echo @Victorofhavoc here. Our daughter outgrew the Doona and I kept bonking her head so we landed on a Graco Turn2Me.

Not sure how that will work out for us as it becomes front facing but I’ll probably have another family hauler by then.

We went from infant seats to Chicco forward facing / all in one seats (Never had these in the Integra), to some Chicco boosters with harness options on them. Now I've got Diono Monterey boosters. They've all been really good options and held up well. Bonus: The Diono's fold up really compactly and have backpack straps if you need to store them or bring them on a flight.

I have the Graco Tri-Ride 3-in-1. Currently have it set up as a highback booster seat and using a seat belt with it (but still holding it in place with the bottom LATCH points). I recommend getting some kind of cover for the front seat to protect it when your kid inevitably kicks the seat with their dirty shoes.

Note that if you use the upper LATCH point, the car's headrest doesn't come off and will become permanently compressed if you tighten the strap too much.
