You buy a cool car thinking you’re gonna attract girls. Instead it’ll 100% only attract guys. That’s been my experience over the years 😂

This.
Every car I've ever had except for the red Q50 it was mostly guys all over, and the Q only attracted girls for the color, the guys liked that it was a RedSport, the women just liked that it was Red. I do get a lot of women complimenting my Bullitt though for the Green color.

If you want women liking your car go for a stand out color, if you want guys after it get a cool trim/spec. (Car women notwithstanding.)

If attracting girls factors into your decision making process in buying a car you're already doing it wrong.

But yes, this article is all about the color. I'm still scratching my head about the move to Double Apex Blue, but it appears to be working.

I ask you reserve judgment till you see it in person. The new blue is actually nice. Is it better than the last one? That’s for the blue bois to fight over 😂

My white ITS goes mostly unnoticed. I kind of like it that way.

My last car was a MkV Supra, and it was just constantly breaking necks. Those cars are rare enough and aren't really mechanical twins or platform mates with anything else common (the Z4 is even more rare and looks very different) so for most people, when they saw me in mine it was their first time seeing a MkV Supra in person, ever. Especially around where I live.

People would stare at me in that car like they were looking at an alien spaceship that just landed. They couldn't even figure out the badge, "Toyota" makes no sense to the normie brain in the context of a car that looks like that.

And just about the only question I ever got was "how much was it?"

I really hated that type of interaction. It also made a certain group of women treat me a bunch nicer than they ordinarily would.

The Mustangs I had, it was 95% dudes. "Does that have a 4.6 in it??!" (In reference to the GT350.) Me: "Yup!" *walks away*

15ish years ago, I had a couple of JCW Mini Coopers, back to back. A supercharged R53 and a turbo R56. THOSE cars got compliments almost exclusively from women. All kinds of women. Everyone from grandmas to college students. And very rarely, from a dude who knew what he was looking at.

So guys: if you want to pick up a lady, buy a Mini Cooper.
