Not that I’m aware of. Unless you’ve got a crazy GF?! ;)
No but there is more and more chatter out there about crazy government legislation requiring driver surveillance in new cars going forward. I cite this example reporting...

There's a whole thread about the data privacy policy.

https://www.integraforums.com/forum...fication-were-getting-actually-sharing.51956/

Essentially I've concluded, I hope I'm not wrong, but unless you connect to the app and give your car access to the internet, it's a pretty dumb car in terms of connectivity and data logging. For me that makes it a 10 out of 10 and why I love it. I seriously doubt there's a driver facing camera.

Even if you opt out of data sharing over the net, what happens when you take the car into a dealer for one thing or another and they plug it into their "system." What happens? I really just don't know. But what I do know is that technology these days is certainly capable storing a LOT of data that can be retrieved when ANY connection opportunity presents itself. Unless Honda make some strong and clear statement that opting out of data sharing through the driver interface covers ALL kinds of data sharing ever, then we just don't know what is being collected and shared.

I’m not sure I understand what you’re trying to get at here…

Alike any other vehicle with an OBDII, the dealer will connect their system(s) and export whatever data they need/want per their process. I’m sure somewhere you’ve acknowledged and agreed to this by way of a signature; that’s how the world works these days.

Regulations do not allow auto manufacturers to develop and implement hidden interior facing cameras for ulterior motives.

Let’s leave the fear mongering and conspiracy theories for Reddit and Facebook.

*in Duke Nukem voice* Balls of Steel.

Maybe the internal spy camera was a bit much but the topic is very valid with real life consequences: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/11/technology/carmakers-driver-tracking-insurance.html

And to your specific point, funny enough there actually is a sensor in the front passenger seat which deactivates the front airbag if it's under ~100lbs (i think). Basically it's for children's safety but if car companies went off the deep end in search of every last dime, it's far fetched but not impossible that they send that data of your fat ass passenger and maybe your next set of ads is for a gym membership. ?

Yes that might be fine if there weren't literal criminals currently "running" the government.

Bro, you need a flip phone and a clapped out Accord from like 1998. That's the only way to be truly safe from gubment surveillance. Worth the safety tradeoff and 20 decades of crumple zone and airbag technology.
