Acuity’s New Full Replacement Shifter

I find this to be a huge improvement over the stock shifter. Since it's adjustable, you can really fine-tune it to your own preferences. The biggest difference is the snappier return to neutral and the more solid metal construction, which is a significant upgrade over the plastic used in the stock part. Shifts feel more engaging and mechanical. If you're looking for something fully customizable, this is a great option. I also think their Stage 2 OEM shifter upgrade is ideal for most people who don’t need adjustability.

The install IS a time consuming process but as a novice installer it was fairly straight forward and Acuity provides excellent instructions.

I've been running this for approx. 2 months myself, and I love it.

Also... +1 to Acuity's instructions -- they're fantastic.

I'll third acuity instructions. They're great. I tried to print some absent mindedly, but that was a mistake. The one downside is they're not print friendly (especially on a bw laser).

Just ordered this, that paper clip looking part looks annoying to get off any tips?

I used some precision tweezers. I'd imagine the normal kind would be fine, and needle-nose pliers might work, too.

I don't know why the forum is eating YouTube embeds lately, but if it's doing it for anyone else here's another way to get to it: https://www.youtube.com/@JohnNguyenVincent/search?query=exZtKTx9Gp8

I've been thinking pretty hard about this because I find the shift feel of the ITS a bit nerfed/numb. But the other thing that I dislike about the shifter, being over 6' tall, is where I have to put the seat, the shifter is about an inch or two further forward than I'd like. I can't keep my shoulders against the seat and push the shifter all the way into the odd gears at the same time.

Is there any adjustment in this shifter that will help with that?

Yes, if I remember correctly, you can move it farther back and/or to the left (relative to stock). There isn't 2 inches of movement, though... maybe half an inch -- but, you could also lower the knob and/or shorten the throw, which would allow you to avoid having to push it so far forward.

I was kind of hoping for some sort of adjustment to move the whole shift pattern rearward. I'd like to reduce the front/back throw but only very minorly - perhaps a 20% reduction?

Is it possible to "pitch" (in the sense of roll, pitch, yaw) the whole shifter assembly back a small amount? Or to adjust the cable controlling the fore/aft movement of the shifter so that it sets the shift pattern up further to the rear?

It allows for shifting the entire mechanism slightly. You could try adding some washers to "pitch it". I'm not gonna say "I recommend it", haha, but I wonder if a minor change would be enough to avoid problems.

I kind of wonder if positioning it on the furthest forward option and then pitching it back might net you more rearward adjustment. Obviously you have to work within the confines of the shift boot area.

I actually have some precision washers from one of my other hobbies that I could use for this purpose.
