Oohf heavy points you add there
You might be able to approach the liners with type s liners... but yeah, no mod I can contemplate sounds quite as invasive. I think I'd have to pay to have the bodywork and painting done professionally
Or just find 8.5s that bring me joy ?
The only upgrade I've got left is wheels and tires. Heart is set on the Rays gramLights 57CRs which only come in 18x9.5 at 114.3. Could very well be worth it on my end!
Has anyone here tried out the Epsilon fender flare kit for the DE4? I think we're limited to 8.5in wide wheels with the DE4 (w/ 245/40R18 tires), and the flare kit's 35mm of extra clearance would allow you to use up to 9.5in wide wheel and possibly 255 or 265/35R18 tires.
Update - PRL released front brake calipers for the de4. I got those ordered along with EBC redstuff fk8 brake pads and the Powerstop slotted & drilled front & rear rotors from Summit. Need to get some brake fluid for that install.
I'm still on the free oil changes, but for underbody work (ASpec) I have ramps, a low profile floor jack, and jack stands.
The front bumper does flex back a bit when pulling onto the ramps so I only use that if I'll be under there for a couple sessions. It scared me a bit the first time I...
I received the PRL intercooler kit last week - I may try to get it installed along with the Acuity reverse flow radiator hoses this weekend since we've got the holiday. Not looking forward to the coolant dump.
Also, still trying to figure whether the Mishimoto transmission fluid coolers are...
would love to see a picture once installed! Have been wanting them but haven't seen any installed. Did you say you're going with black mud flaps on ABP?
I have a nearly fbo CVT with no tune yet. All is good. I have the intercooler upgrades arriving this week, and for tuning im trying to hold off until I do an off-schedule transmission oil change around 10k miles (currently 4500).
I went with the RV6 downpipe - the TSP Downpipe was designed by...
Most of the folks I've talked to about them say that they're somewhat excessive / a rare circumstance that an upgraded transmission fluid cooler would be "necessary" for the CVT outside of pretty hot climates (same with radiator upgrades such as the CSF).
But in doing the same research I really...
DE4 stock wheels are like 28 lbs each. I'm planning on the Enkei TFR which are 18 lbs each.
Stock DE4 is 18x8 +45 with 235/40R18 tires.
Will be going with 18x8.5 +45 w/ 245/40R18 dws06+
