Hate it even on the CVT, feel like it throws off transmission oil pressure. There's a fluid pump on the transmission that's supposed to keep that pressure constant during auto start/stop, but sometimes it totally lags.
I toggle it off every time I drive, perhaps I should check if there's a...
That is from the PRL turbo inlet kit - you're not missing it.
You'll need to do a drive cycle to clear those errors - the steps to that should be listed online somewhere. If you have a tuner you can just reflash the tune to skip that. The only time I've gotten those errors is when I either...
Put on the 27won air intake snorkel a week or two ago. Was kind of cursing the install - requires taking an angle grinder to a part and either cutting or deleting the radiator shroud (I went this route). I didnt read that step until I had the bumper off.
That said, once done it really wasn't...
That is frustrating... Can relate, I'm still waiting on them to roll out the update to make the startup animation car the same color as the vehicle. Why default them all to LCS?? Ayeee
Interestingly, the ASpec CVT does have a gear indicator when you put it in manual mode with the paddle shifters.
Hmm yeah - I'd agree it's when idling/at a light and AC is on, and mostly prior to full operating temp. Not really noticeable while driving, so I'm with you leaning towards normal noise.
But yeah - just had heard about the bracket so it's stuck in my head as the possible source until ruled out Lol
Totally agree on all your points on the RMM - this one is the one I can't quite put my finger on though. I note it too and it's annoying to the point of just not using the AC. One thing I've found on the forums that there could be an ac or heat condenser pipe bracket in the right side of the...
I did call acura to ask them to change the startup animation from a liquid carbon silver integra to the apex blue pearl integra... they took the suggestion but I haven't seen the update roll out yet 😅
But all I can really think for the additional gauges is to mount a ktuner or something...
My use-case for a modded ASpec - daily driver (7 mile commute, traffic), savings ($17.5k), and I wanted an automatic transmission.
Had a life event, started nerding out on parts, made a spreadsheet, spent about 10k. I had full bolt ons at about 4500 miles, tuned at 6,150 (1 year). I loved the...
Love it, haha. Are you in a hotter or colder area?
I'm just going for a little extra caution with the extra load - there's a pretty simple bolt on transmission fluid cooler from ETL that mounts behind the front bumper:
Nerding out on CVT fluid over here... Was talking to AI about whether to stick with the Honda/Idemitsu HCF-2 CVT Transmission Fluid, or going to something like Ravenol or AMSOIL. Gemini thinks that using anything other than the Honda HCF-2 voids the transmission warranty, but we're already tuned...
