I didn't list it for the DE5 earlier as I wasn't 100% sure it would fit, hours glad to see someone's gone ahead and tested.

I ordered the whole Cusco and PRL chassis bracing catalog last week for my FL5. Will be able to good pics and verify if all fits without any modifications like cutting the undertray

Installed HPS intercooler pipes and and my Infinity intake still need to swap the infinity turbo to intake pipe but saving it for another time... Love this intake thanks for importing these Unity!

Kept it simple. I washed, clayed, and ceramic coated it. Let it cure for a couple of days, and then drove it for many smiles per gallon

I appreciate the info on the fluids. I'll be using the AC Delco fluid to swap for the oem transmission fluid soon.

Over the weekend I coached a class of HPDE2 students and went out with them a bit. I took the rear seats out for the weekend to get more cargo space and reduce weight. Final minimum weight with driver and all my gear was 3213lbs! This means for my specific build target I will aim for roughly 316 avg whp (about 320 peak), which should be rock solid.

With the current 350whp tune the car actually did quite well. At 65-70F ambient the IAT stayed below 90 for the majority of the time. Coolant was also around 220F. No clue what oil was since Honda doesn't believe in measuring that. 350whp/tq is too much for a 200tw tire honestly. You have to really feather the throttle out of hairpins.

I also swapped in the type r ADS for the weekend. I'm in disbelief anyone would drive the suspension this way on the street. It's so bad. Even in comfort it's definitely stupid stiff on chip sealed and rougher pavement (which is what's always found around racetracks). I would estimate comfort is somewhere between the de5 sport and sport+... Not closer to sport like is claimed. I found all sorts of new rattles with the ads and those rougher roads. My start button, phone charger, headliner (assuming wiring to light), every front vent, and the driver seatbelt adjuster rattled profusely. Nuts... Just nuts. Turning it softer made for better lap times. I might not throw the type r ads back in unless the Hoosier really need it.

3213 driver included!? That's surprisingly light. All you did was rip out the rear seats? I wonder how much they weigh... you have kilmat in the hatch / doors, too, right? Just running lighter wheels?

That's correct! Keep in mind, with gear on i weigh roughly 175lbs.

The 60 side seat is actually pretty heavy. I didn't weigh it, but I'd suspect 30-35lbs. I also took out all the stuff in the hatch lower and the foam, pump, and so on. Wheels and tire are also roughly 6-8lbs lighter per corner. Min weight for NASA is also calculated at lowest expected gas level (two ticks for me or roughly missing 8gal @ 6lbs/gal).

Soooo I started installing the two thermal blankets I recently purchased (turbo blanket from Funk Motorsports and downpipe elbow blanket from PTP) and decided I don't want to bother with it just yet since winter is coming and I'd rather do other mods in the meantime. Such is the way of the indecisive modder!

I'll be putting both blankets up for sale in the classifieds section.

Anyone know of an aftermarket alternative to the green panel clips with a higher force threshold? Or is it possible the green ones lose a lot of their retention ability once removed?

I've spent the last couple days working on improving the cabin acoustics / road noise. I've done the doors so far (kilmat on the inside of the exterior and back of the interior panels, aggfoam over the vapor barrier), and one of my door panels is slightly warped and it's enough to keep popping one of the clips on its own. I've swapped clips around (thinking maybe that one was weak -- visually, it looked fine), but it didn't make a difference. I ended up adding some extra aggfoam to that spot so it doesn't rattle, but I'd prefer a real fix.

At least the doors sound so much more solid and satisfying to close.

The green clips bend too much when used, so I would treat them as one time use.

I inspect each when I pull off a panel and if the area around the bottom of the barb part looks a slightly different green or is bent, the clip goes in the trash.

They're cheap, just find a decent online parts supplier of the oem part and buy a bunch. Don't buy from dreamshop... They are stupidly overpriced there.
