I couldn't quite put my finger on it but all the current lip and splitter options were just too much or too little one way or another. This looks like something that would suit my tastes.

Keep us posted brother, hopefully they'll offer multiple material options and not just carbon fiber.

I'll take some pictures and videos of it soon. It will be that black plastic finish initially. It's still in the testing phase but will look awesome if I can get the manufacture to replicate the black finish similar to the front bumper side vent bezels.

Not sure how relevant this info is but I believe the gloss pieces are painted in Berlina Black from the S2000. I don't remember where I saw that but I remember coming across it during my search for black mirror caps.

Installed the Hybrid Racing short shifter on Friday night and have since put 200 miles on the car. Trying to decide between the stock shifter and the Skunk2, leaning heavily towards the Skunk2 because of the weight.

My buddy also came over with his Type R this morning and we traded cars for the day so I got to have some time with the stock shifter and my hybrid racing set-up.

I don't know why, but I had the most difficult time trying to unplug the cigarette lighter connector. There's no clip release or anything, you just tug but mine was on especially tight. The only other bit that I can think of would be the shift collar, everyone seems to have difficulty with the factory one.

Outside of that, it's very straightforward, no real pitfalls or potential to damage anything. I would recommend magnetic tools if you have them or a magnet on standby for when you inevitably drop a screw into the void.

Before you put the shifter cable assemblies in the new base ....... polish, grease, or lubricate the openings for a way better install experience. For taking off the small clip to the gate assembly, I put a small wire tie around the exposed outer edge and just pulled it out. Way better than a pair of pliers and you don't bend it ......... ;-)

Finally had a free Saturday to work on the car. I installed my new wheels and all seasons, and did my first oil change.

Wheels are OZ Leggera in 19x9.5 e51, wearing 275/30 DWS06+ tires. The combo weighed ~46.2lbs. Edit: my stock wheel/tire combo came in at 51.0lbs, so this is a wider tire with a hair more sidewall, 18mm wider track, and 4.8lbs of weight saved per corner.

During the oil change I installed a Fumoto F106SX valve - there was tons of room to position it how I liked.

I used a new OEM filter and 5.5qts of Castrol Edge. Cut open the original filter and it was clean. Hit all the exposed suspension hardware with a light coating of Fluid Film for rust prevention.
