does the 59k include interest on the part your financing? I hope so. seems like a lot of tax and fees.

Awesome that your journey is almost over and you can just start having fun.

Living in Nc we are fortunate to only pay 3% new car sales tax which is pretty low compared to most states. Instead we get screwed by paying annual property taxes on the appraised value of all of our vehicles. 518$ for me this year for the FL5.

Part of our annual registration here in CA is based off the value of the car as well. Smaller portion than yours though.

But we have higher sales tax here.

EDIT:
(I just realized he didn't subtract the 250 from the price, and I am going to offer to pay either 299 for conveyance fee vs the 599 they are charging, or I am going to offer to let them throw in the three things I had asked for that add up to 290 retail total and I'll pay the 599.

I think I am going to stand on these two points, if they don't want to do it, I am going to remind them I have a deal waiting who guaranteed to beat this deal for the same car with fewer miles so I don't think they will want to blow up the deal at the very end over $300.)

I forgot, it was 54026.92 before taxes reg and fees, and included door visors and splash guards.
59439.61 out the door, But I am going to get that down another $300 when I go in.
But yes, that is the deal.
MSRP went up 1k$ after Jan so they are 53kto begin with.
Financing is a whole other potato, but I put a lot down to minimize that, nearly 20k in cash.

Good luck today in your decision. Whatever you do, trust your gut.
Well, I did a thing.

So, another dealer reached out to me, said they will beat any price I get, so I told them what was happening with the miles and the car, they offered two cars, both with fewer miles to make me happy.

I told them, if you can get me the car for the same money, I was about to make a deal for on a car with say less than 20 miles, I'll make the change and buy from you.

He offered me the deal and is in the process of sending me the odometer readings for both cars.
He did work up a lower number, MSRP and including the door visors and splash guards thrown in this time, he was around 1k lower out the door.

So, now my plan is to go Monday morning to my dealer, give them one last chance on the liquid carbon with 144 miles, if they want me to buy that car then I want the other three accessories I asked for or to cut the conveyance fee in half, and if they are willing to do that then I will probably make that deal, once we iron out the money, they still need to take 250 off plus the accessories.

If they don't want to do it, I'll take my deposit and head to the other dealer write up the deal on the Apex blue with ebony interior or the white with ebony and get the purchase order for my bank and buy from them.
Either way, Monday I plan to make a deal.

Curious, why don't you just work with that new dealer? Not only is it less out the door, but the cars don't have all that mileage that gave you pause to begin with!

To me it's a no brainer.

Well, I feel a sense of obligation to at least give them a chance, they have been working with me, they brought in a car to try to make me happy, etc.. I just would feel like a jerk if I were to blow up the deal over this at the last minute without giving them a chance.
I know I don't owe them anything, but I have a sense of obligation to at least let them try.
But who knows, maybe after sleeping on this I will change my mind and just ask for my deposit backl.
I expect a fight to get my deposit back, sigh, it is always hard to get them to give money back.

I get it, but at the end of the day they're a business and they're providing a product that is giving you enough of a pause to go down this decision process. There's a perfectly good alternative where you come out ahead on all fronts.

Anyway, I don't mean to impose my will, nor do I want to color your thoughts any further at this point. Either way, I think you'll be happy with whichever one you end up with as soon as you get behind the wheel and that's what's important right?

Listen, I appreciate your thoughts and want them, you're not slanting my thoughts at all.
I really appreciate all the feedback.

It is a big decision and to be honest, I have never been in this position before, usually I am at the mercy of the dealer for financing and that puts me at a disadvantage from the start, but this time I have my own money and don't need the dealer or their financing so I am feeling very good and I do want what I want, no point in settling.

So, I spoke to the other shop, told them I will 90% buy from them if they have the car with fewer miles at the price they told me, so I am likely going to go Monday and get my deposit back from the dealer who has the car with 144 miles on it and go buy from the other dealer.
The more I think about it, the better those sounds.

He just sent me pictures of two cars, a blue and a white, the blue has 4 miles on it and the white has 2.
I am just going to grab my deposit Monday and go buy one of these two cars, screw it.
They guarantee to beat my current out the door price with two accessories installed and the cars have the miles I want to see, so it was an easy decision.

So, how much of a discount?
Are you at all worried about who drove it, how they drove it, what that might mean?
I was thinking about asking them to drop 1250.00$ 1k for the msrp that went up after the first of the year and the 250 they offered me already.
you can either worry about it and miss out on this opportunity don’t get the car or buy the car knowing 125mi even with mildly abusive miles still is likely going to be just fine, that’s what warranty is for. Ask them to take it for a a few mile test drive yourself and make sure everything is in order and then buy with confidence.

I doubt anyone did anything that would severely cripple the car long-term. Even with proper breakin problems happens, just part of car ownership. I used to feel like you, but a little less so now.

Even with 5 miles on the clock, someone can sit there and rivet for an hour lol.

I say go for it and try not to overthink it! Maybe ask for a heavily discounted extended warranty instead of money off the MSRP if you are going to keep the car long term?
