Great jobā¦ I was considering doing something similar myself, but decided it would take too much set up and planning when all the kids wanted to do was sit in the house and watch the show lol
not hard at allā¦ I was babying it honestly. First day was wet and cold on north course. Second day a big chunk of my session(s) were red/black flagged. I didnāt get any good lap times bc I didnāt want to chase time and got so few clean laps I never really felt like I was nailing it.
Hereās a...
Thatās a lot for a single evening wow ā¦ I wonder if theyāre closing claims with some really expensive carsā¦.
insurance is smart. always is painful and after each weekend when I donāt need it I feel like i wasted my money. But damage happensā¦. (Most) Cars are expensive.
I had a friend file a...
I met him a couple weekends ago at VIR with Chin. Real nice guy. He was raving about the eventuri intake and driving the snot out of his car. I ran into his videos which showed him following me around for a whileā¦. Then I saw his wreck and was blown away. Sounds like heāll be aiming for...
I love VIR.. was just there in my C8 Z06. I had buddies there with an FL5 and FK8.
Iām trying to decide if i should take out my ITS periodically to give the C8 a breakā¦ did you have any issues at all with the car? FL5 for my friends have done really wellā¦.
youāre right. the hatch is a very versatile package and the ITS/CTR offer a lot of fun on top of that.
I ended up keeping the ITS and rented a 3/4 ton truck to tow my track car the 7h to VIR. put my summer tires/wheels (CTR wheels lol) on and then it snowed today !!
Congrats on the blue ITS! I wanted blue #1 but I also love my white car and the silver one before it. The car looks good in any color.
glad you got a 4mi car! Thatās awesome and maybe one of the lowest delivery mile cars Iāve heard of!
you can either worry about it and miss out on this opportunity donāt get the car or buy the car knowing 125mi even with mildly abusive miles still is likely going to be just fine, thatās what warranty is for. Ask them to take it for a a few mile test drive yourself and make sure everything is...
Admire the beauty ā¦ from a distance. Do not touch it. Your leg is too close actually. Stop. The. Matting. lol.
Looks great!! Lots of ways to keep the Alcantara clean, but one thing I learned with my Camaro was a *light* spritz of plain water on a microfiber cloth and scrubbing, seems to...
I think we just have very different takes on the subject. I do think youāre missing the point as to why a DIY community is annoyed by such a needlessly* specific recommendationā¦ for fear of losing your warranty. Vehicles have a healthy range of acceptable tolerances, we donāt need to be an...
Agree to disagree. Again, unless this super fluid is truly something unique only to Acura and no other safe fluid exists, then sure. I suspect that isnt the case and it wouldāve been nice if they said ābe sure to use blah blah certified DOT 3 or 4 fluid, ideally Acuraās Heavy Duty magic, use...
haha nothing. My son almost bought a ālightweight mouseā for gaming. I convinced him to save his $70 lol. Always fun walking around the store though!
I think this might be a case of lawyers stepping into engineering ā¦ kind of like when insurance companies dictate medical care. it doesnāt make sense but they also end up being the gate keeper.
I find it hard to believe A) Honda makes a crazy frail/corrosion prone system or B) they make DOT3...
And finally (for now) fresh fluid is important and I bet the Acura stuff works quite well when fresh! I wouldnāt hesitate to go full send with it in there!
In Acuraās defense (and OP/optronix) :
the manual specifies exact fluids for brakes, trans, engine coolant. Brake fluid they say that isnāt Acura Heavy Duty DOT3 can cause corrosionā¦. but non AcuraHD fluid can be used temporarily.
I find it VERY hard to believe any of the decent quality...
No way! I totally disagree.
What kind of brake failure are you thinking could be caused by a non-OEM but tried & true DOT3 or 4 fluid? RBF or Castrol or another quality fluid. Donāt hand them toothpaste and ask for them to use that lol.
Iāve never heard of brand specific brake fluid in a...
that is pretty wildā¦ I wonder what warranty claim would be related to a specific brake fluid. As long as you use a dot three or dot four it seems like there should never be a problem.
Granted if you flush the brakes yourself and introduce a bunch of air and cause problems, that seems like that...
