Why so many modifications to an aftermarket exhaust? Wouldn't it have been cheaper and more efficient to go with another option?

Fair question! The short answer is no, in my case it wouldn't have.

I like the Borla, only reason I have an Invidia is because I could get it over $1200 cheaper. That said, I do indeed like my Invidia.

I was the first DE5 to have the Borla exhaust and when I'd mentioned it between here or the other forums, (especially the other forum), a lot of people poo-pooed Borla. Glad to hear someone who actually has one comment positively on it becuase I really like mine.

Nice! I just got the Borla but still need to install it. Of all the exhausts it seems the best for what I’m looking for. I have a TSP downpipe, so hope there’s no drone! Hopefully will install next week.

It will be LOUD at first in comfort, but that quiets down a bit as soot settles in areas inside. It took about 2k miles for mine to fully round out.

Akrapović would be interesting! Might even be lighter than stock, which would be nice. I doubt it will come to the its though, and finding someone to extend the tips to fit a De5 would be a challenge.

Sometimes it’s damn near perfect but just needs a tweak bro

I went with a q300 because I have always loved invidias mufflers. My god their sound is truly my fave. After a bit, I wanted more texture and a small increase in volume. I’m old as fuck and as a result, I know what a megaphone sounds like. I went back and forth between a paradox and a megaphone. So I landed on the megaphone first. Had the resonator removed and replaced with the megaphone.

sounds nice but extremely tame in comfort. And in sport and sport plus it is perfect!

I’m not trying to say these exhausts aren’t enough as is. It’s more so like, we are all different and we have different expectations. Sometimes U gotta get in there and tweak something so it’s perfect (for you).

I haven't installed my megaphone yet... Been too busy. How much and how did the sound quality change when you installed yours? Can you share pics?
