So, according to Acura, a few months back, the Integra is not long for this world. This could be the last year for it? Maybe part of the next? But it is going away. With no replacement.
Grab your Type S while you can. Not sure what they are doing, but I believe the ADX took a chunk out of those sales to the point where it’s just not worth making a car that’s basically, a civic.

There was some dealer meeting type thing a few months back, I brought it up the other day again I was like “wait what do you mean the Integra is going away…“ And sure enough, it’s not long for this world.

I remember about a year ago when I was telling people that about the TLX and everybody thought I was crazy lol and poof. It’s gone.

Ending it seems odd when they just announced exporting the DE5 to Japan. Could they possibly end the DE4 versions while keeping the DE5 for at least another year?

If Acura kills the Integra as well, after axing the TLX, they are epically retarded.

Honestly after the huge loss they suffered in 2025, Honda should be looking themselves in the mirror and realizing what made them beloved. Small, affordable, fun to drive cars that were near indestructible. In Acura's case, offering a refined version of that basis without the pretentiousness nor the problems of the German equivalents.

Every idiot these days needs an SUV with AWD but watch them all swing back to FWD hybrids when oil prices don't go back down and they're paying $6/gallon.

There Acura will be, dick in hand with a bunch of SUVs that even if they Hybridize with the new upcoming V6, will still not be what the lemmings want in 2027-2028

and they absolutely failed to do that with the prelude which I'd admit is small and fun but not at all priced where it should be

I disagree with this. I think this is actually where the vast majority of commuters out there can have their cake and eat it it too since there's a ton of small crossovers now that are super fuel efficient. Granted it's not my cup of tea (and I bet it's the same for most in here) but it serves what they need.

Agreed, I too share the opinion that the ADX (or HRV) are essentially jacked up Civics. As people get old I can understand not wanting to fall into a low car, but my comment was more aimed beyond the CRV, more at the MDX/Pilot (what I consider an SUV, versus a crossover) for people who drive to and from work, alone, in the city and aren't outdoorsy people who need it to haul stuff.

Unlike the eco-militants, I'm not saying these vehicles shouldn't exist, just that cheap oil over the past few years has allowed quite a few people who have no need for these larger vehicle, to own them more comfortably. If/when the price of oil goes higher, especially if the economy sours, they are going to flock to vehicles with the best MPG. The mini crossovers will absorb a good portion of the shift but I think we are due for a wave back to cars.

lol. Yup. I was mortified when they came out with that car in the first place. As well as the ADX. At least we used to get our own engines and powertrains now it’s just that rehashed Honda.

sometimes I scratch my head

we were wondering that too. I asked if there was maybe a surplus of them? Or maybe as a final farewell they would send it to the rest the world lol

They'll probably keep it for 2026 and 2027 at least if they take the time/money to update it...

Well, in 2025 Acura sales were up, as well as Hondas. So not sure what you’re talking about? And all anchored by SUVs. Just like everyone else.

And our all-wheel-drive systems are performance based. Which are pretty shocking actually. I do miss that the most going to my Type R a few months ago. I mean front wheel drive is fine with the right tires but nothing beats that SHAWD system for just flat out performance. I know, I tracked my TLX Type S.

And poo poo all you want but the ultimate performance? it’s Ev. Actually all Around. So instead of just putting the bullet for a few years, they blow $18 billion lol. Just like when they had hybrids a couple years ago and no one wanted them. Now everyone does. But they got rid of them. Go figure.

lol. That’s what the guys in the TLX form said lol he can believe what you want. I’m just telling facts. Enjoy.
No.

It's not a "fact" if you can't prove it, right here, right now. That's not how facts work, and I don't give a shit about your TLX story.

Besides, I already disproved your nonsense anyway. I think I'd pick hondanews and Road and Track over that dude Vince from Cleveland.

Vehicle sales might be up but profit was negative.

The old guard under Soichiro have been all but phased out in retirement, replaced with timid engineers restrained by the bean counters.

The Prelude was the type of exercise they needed, except less mid pack niche car and more mass market attainable halo. A new S2000 would definitely get the mojo revved back up for the 75th anniversary but unless they've done a heck of a job keeping it under wraps, I think the rumors are just that, rumors and any article is fluff to get clicks based on vaporware.

Personally if they came out with the S2000,unless they colossally screwed it up, I'd start saving my penny and aim for a later model year, ideally a CR at the end of the modern run. A man could dream...
