Hi all! I recently purchased my 2024 Tiger Eye Pearl ITS back in February. Since my purchase, I’ve been hunting for a nice set of wheels and have narrowed my choices down to the Vossen HF-5’s or the BBS RE-V7’s. I’m leaning towards the BBS’ more but none the less can’t seemingly make up my mind. Both sets would be ordered in gloss black. I was posting to get the opinion of the community and hear your thoughts and opinions. I’m also open to other suggestions that share similar design language to both I’ve listed above. Thanks!

We're dealers for both, the downside to the BBS is its about double the price and the lead times will be lot longer.

Let us know if we can help you order either one!

Between those two, neither.

No offense but unless you are downsizing to 18's why spend money on rims that are extremely similar. If you went with a 5 wide spoke design, that's also another story but I just don't see the point since you're asking our opinions but I'm 100% in line with Skinnie, it's you not me who is spending the money and driving it.

The "similarity" argument doesn't really hold up. First of all, none of these wheels referenced here are really similar at all to me. I mean, they're round and made of metal, but they look nothing like OEM, and they're a completely different color. I don't get where you're coming from here...

But I'll also chime in that even actually "similar" wheels (I like to call them "OEM adjacent") like the Apex VS-5RS or Volk G025 are forged, and come in different finishes and offsets. One of the first things I noticed when I first saw a DE5 in person was how I didn't like the factory offset and how "sunken in" the wheels looked... aftermarket wheels correct that, and IMHO makes a huge difference in the overall aesthetic of the car.

Also did I mention they're forged? Something to the tune of 8-10lbs per wheel of unsprung weight IIRC and the obvious durability factor are considerations as well. I don't think the Vossens are forged and not sure about the BBS either- and I'm not here to argue that it's a night and day performance difference switching to forged wheels (although I honestly don't think I'd take a set of aftermarket cast wheels on a track...)- but yet more examples of why someone may choose to spend money on wheels some may consider similar.

In any case I do agree that wheels are a deeply personal choice, and while there's nothing wrong with fishing for opinions in a public forum, ultimately the only person who should actually care about the wheels you buy is YOU. Personally I don't like either of these wheels, but it's not my car. All else being equal, if both of these designs "speak to you", go with the cheaper option!

I've had multiple sets of Vossens over the years and been very happy with them. Very solid and held up well. I would definitely buy from them again at some point. I had the HF-3's on My Stinger and I tracked them multiple times without issue. pretty decent for a heavier car. Their finishes are very nice too. They will also be a little lighter than stock rims. Should be flow formed I think...

HF-5's have lots of nooks and crannies though. Could be a pain to clean. I do think it's a good look for the DE5 though.

some people are incapable of making decisions on their own. I think the vossens are ugly and is more suited for a lambo.

If your stuck between the two rims then I would go get lesser expensive route so that way you can use the money you saved on another mod ...that my opinion...anytime in stuck between something I like a lot I go with the lesser expensive option and from what it sounds like it'll be available much faster ..good luck and don't forget to take pics with on

The Vossen wheels would be a nightmare to keep clean with all those small holes and slots. That would be a deal breaker for me.

I went with the REv7’s on mine. Sorry I don’t have better pictures. If you go with BBS I found that the BBS lug nuts for the Lexus LS fit the Type S. The lug nuts are overpriced (~$400) but whatever. It’s just money. I also swapped the black center caps for red.

Sir, without question, it is the BBS wheels. OMG, they're gonna be FIRE on that TEP Integra!

Not sure how helpful this is, but I have a set of Apex EC7 in matte black and they almost look like the BBS. I say BBS in my opinion, if those were my only options.
