So I've been thinking about doing e85 to the Type S. I use to have an Evo 10 that ran e85 for 2-3 no issues. On the Evo it was super easy btw. My question is it that same with the Canflex e85 on the ITS? Can I run whatever "E" ratio I want and the tune will work with whatever I put in? Is it just a matter of getting the canflexs, injectors, and tune? I do have flash through phearable. TIA

yes and no, you'll need a HPFP to run full 85. E 40ish is where I think the stock stuff maxes out.

Might as well get a turbo too to maximize what the E can do as the stock turbo can only push so much.

the canflex will adjust based on the ethanol content on the fly, no input from you.

you don't need injectors to run an ethanol tune. the stock fuel system can typically run up to E30ish. i'm on the phearable stage 3 and the tune page says it makes 400whp/400wtq and says to limit to E30. if you go higher than recommended it's possible you could lean out in the higher RPM and that's not good.

My goal is to hit 400-450hp safely. I'm only at 3k miles. Maybe I'll go the turbo route. Running "E" seems to be a bit risky and has too many variables.

i've run it for a while. nothing risky about it just do your research. all it takes is the flex sensor, a tune, and a few bolt-ons to get the most out of it.

ethanol has a lot benefits and i'd say the biggest con is the gas mileage as you're using 30%ish more fuel. makes a lot of smiles tho.

Can I run full e85 on a full tank? Or does it have to be a certain percentage? and the canflex will adjust to what percentage is in the tank?

with an upgraded high pressure fuel pump and some bigger injectors you could. stock stuff will cap out around E30ish but still makes quite a noticeable difference.
