This is one of the modifications I would put high on the list if you intend to use your car for more than just commuting.

So I've had some time to drive around w/ the base map, v1, and v1.1 of your comfort map.

I have a similar setup to yours with:

RV6 rear sway bar (middle setting)
Advan TC-4 w/ Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02 tires (265/35/18)


So the base map for me was an improvement overall from the OEM module. My 2 gripes w/ the comfort map are:

1. I felt there was not enough low-speed dampening happening in places where there's a dip in the road or speed humps. While it is definitely compliant, it felt bouncy. The issue was much less present in highway conditions, though.

2. There was a noticeable loss of feedback in the steering as a result of the suspension being more compliant (I think). I'm guessing this comes w/ the territory and not much can be done about that.

I switched to v1 of the comfort baseline and thought it was a further improvement from the DSC comfort settings, except it introduced some harshness when going over harsh roads or the car goes over a sudden small bump in the road. The suspension seemed to tighten up a bit, though.

v1.1 is a good spot for me where it's kinda between the DSC comfort map and v1. The suspension responds quicker while not being as harsh as v1. I also think some of the steering feedback returned? Maybe that's just me.

I have not fiddled with the Steering tab in the program although the steering feedback was likely introduced due to resetting the Shock Calibration in v1.1; I too felt that the car was "floaty" in v1.0.

The current challenges I'm facing are what I believe to be limitations in addressing low-speed compression and rebound. The software allows you to tweak both based on suspension travel, but it does not take into account vehicle speed until 60mph. The car soaks up bumps at speeds above 60mph well, but I still find myself scratching my head on some low speed dips.

I should connect with someone at DSC to see if there is a better approach to managing this without adjusting overall G Force table and Sensitivity. @Maya@DSC any recommendations are appreciated.

It is good to see several of us messing with the calibration. The out of the box calibration was good on my old 981, but the Integra version needs some tweaks. The lowering springs file out of the gate did need some tweaking. It felt like compression and especially rebound were too soft on 20-40 mile per hour roads with lots of bumps when traveling straight/no g's. Highway speeds felt better which can be explained by looking at the Speed tab settings. The controller increase the rate at 60-150 mph in 10mph increments. Cornering feels just fine. Braking is just fine. The best improvement I've found so far was to keep it simple and adjust the comfort map G Comfort Parameter default rate from 1 to 5. I've been driving on it this way for a week and feel it gives up minimal comfort while resolving the 2nd bounce to settle and uncontrolled side to side body motions that could occur with the default setting of 1.

I would recommend everyone watch the whole DSC Sport Tuner Software and Tuner Software Overview video linked below rather than only the ride height sensor part. They go over what the features do, basic setup and input validations, tuning strategy and suggested increments to try your changes. Before watching, I was originally messing with velocity values to adjust compression and rebound which was supposed to be for finer tuning. I may still go back and lower the G comfort default rate and increase velocity rebound settings if I tire of what it feels like now. I had also considered increasing the minimum mA value in comfort map shock calibration as another thing to try so that G Comfort Base Rate can never make the car uncontrolled.

Back at it again.

I was still a bit disappointed in Comfort Baseline v1.1; I was looking for more overall refinement rather than just low speed comfort. After messing around with Offset, Sensitivity, G Rate Max, and the Velocity tab, I feel this revision is more linear and predictable.

Finally got around to installing the unit today. Install tip, no need to remove the module mounting plate since we need to reus it anyway, just leave it there and remove the four screws. Plenty of room to makes it an easy process. Removing the rear seat is a pain in the butt. I didn’t put the screw back yet. While I have it out, I ordered knockoff dynamat to put under there so I never have to pull it again.

Snow and 15 degrees out so no good opinion yet. But on Conti DSWs on the highway, it’s noticeable smoother at 75 mph. Sport mode at that speed felt just a bit firmer than the OEM comfort. Will get a better chance to compare next week on my 25 mile country road/interstate route to work.

Day 4 review, includes 3 days of my 25 mile commute on 40% country roads and 60% interstate. I’ve put 41K miles on the car, so I’m familiar with the comfort suspension setting. FYI, I drive in individual mode with engine at Sport+, Steering at Sport, and the Suspension in Comfort. I don’t track or do weekend events, I just drive and go around corners to fast. In other words, this is a normies view. So far, all the driving I’ve done was in comfort mode, with only short bits in Sport or Sport+ on various surfaces. All 3 modes feel immediately different at moderate or highway speeds.

Overall, to me, it’s worth the money because the car feels more sporty even on my daily commute. It rides a bit smoother, but with a tad more ‘float’ in a straight line. In stock comfort it was better than my wife’s 2014 Audi A4 with the active suspension. Now it’s noticeably smoother, but you still know what’s going on with the road surface. I do notice the softer damping just a bit on bouncy bits.

In comfort mode, when you hammer the breaks, most of the dive is gone. When you punch it, the squat, also mostly gone. Better yet, when you take a corner from a standing start, the car hooks up and holds WAY better. The stock setup would spin the wheels when pulling a 90 degree turn from a stop sign with even moderate throttle, now you can really hammer it from a stop and you feel it immediately stiffen up and pull you around the corner. That ‘oh shit‘ feeling when you pull into a smaller opening is gone.

So, overall, the car in comfort mode just feels much sportier. It’s more like my 2017 BRZ now in handling which is fantastic.

I did try Sport mode on the way into work this morning, it’s not too bad, and might be a tad smoother than stock Sport. But at 10 degrees outside, it’s hard to know what’s suspension vs cold hard tires and cold pavement.

Overall, if you can afford it and intend to drive the car a lot, I recommend module. If your car isn’t a daily driver and you use Sport or Sport+ modes, I can’t offer enough experience to give you advise. For me, I’m going to put a good 200K miles on this car over the next 10 yeaRs., It’s most likely my last manual transmission vehicle for a daily driver.

So after some time playing w/the DSC Sport and switching through various maps (thanks @bisquick) I thought I'd make my own contribution to the DE5/ DSC sport community.

While I thought bisquick's comfort 2.0 was a further improvement on his goals, I thought I'd start exploring what the tuner software can do and make some customizations of my own. As such, I enlisted the help of the best learning tool, Gemini, to help me get started on a base map to try specific to my setup.

I've spent the past week getting a base map down and going through a couple revisions. It's at the point where I feel good enough to post and share w/ others.

Here's a summary of the changes written by Gemini as well:

Your "Chassis Touring" street map is designed around a 4% baseline, prioritizing maximum daily comfort on your Continental Sport 02 tires while using reactive modifiers to support your lowered Spoon springs and extra chassis bracing.

Street Map Settings Summary
The following table reflects the settings found in your specific .pdts calibration file for the street profile:

G-Force: Default Rate	4%	Provides a plush "Touring" feel by keeping dampers at near-minimum stiffness during steady cruising.
G-Force: G-Rate Max	20 (0.2G)	Defines a small "comfort box." Shocks stay at the 4% baseline unless you exceed 0.2G of force in any direction.
G-Force: Sensitivity	15	A higher number ensures the car stays in the soft 4% zone longer, filtering out minor road "noise".
Brake: Front Damping	45% – 55%	Adds significant support to counteract the nose-dive inherent with lowered Spoon springs.
Brake: Decay	500ms	Returns to the 4% comfort baseline quickly after you stop to prevent a "stiff" feel at traffic lights.
Accel: TPS Rate	15	Makes the rear dampers more sensitive to throttle input, proactively "catching" the car's weight during acceleration.
Accel: Speed Limit	60 MPH	Fades out the anti-squat support at highway speeds to prioritize Continental tire ride quality.
Velocity: Compression	-5% to -10%	(Indicated by lighter cells) Softens the initial impact of bumps to prevent the Spoon springs from feeling "crashy".
Velocity: Rebound	+5% to +10%	(Indicated by darker cells) Slows the spring extension after a bump, keeping the car composed and preventing it from "bouncing".

Logic Behind These Choices

• The 4% Baseline: Because your Spoon springs are roughly 10% stiffer than stock, a standard street baseline (like 10-15%) can feel too busy on the highway. Lowering this to 4% restores the "luxury" feel of the car while cruising.
• High Brake Damping (45%+): Since the car is lowered, there is less suspension travel available before you hit the bump stops. By ramping up to 45% damping as soon as you touch the brakes, the DSC "slows down" the weight transfer so you don't bottom out.
• Velocity Tuning: The slight decrease in compression combined with an increase in rebound is a classic "Street Comfort" tweak. It allows the wheel to move up easily when it hits a pothole (Compression) but controls it firmly on the way back down (Rebound) to prevent the car from feeling "floaty".
