Burnt Marks

Does anyone know what’s causing this burnt marks in my 3m front hood? I can only see it with sunglasses. My 2025 integra got serviced for rust proofing two weeks ago and they did spray some inside the engine bay. Do you think that’s the culprit?

Doesn’t look like anything is wrong to me. I’m guessing your glasses are polarized.

I saw them all around the hood with my glasses on but yeah without glasses you can’t see it. I kinda panic because of that I also don’t notice this in my previous car.

I see marks on mine too with my sunglasses on. Its the glasses most likely.

Ppf has uv treatment to keep it from yellowing. What you're seeing is a result of the reflection off the stuff they put in to reflect the uv.

As to why you see it in funny patterns, ppf installers often try to stretch like vinyl installers, and that leads to some fingering, veining, and images at certain angles and light conditions. The more they pull and press on it, the more it shows up since it's not quite as elastic as vinyl.

Think old clear phone cases.
