Auto Folding Mirrors installed

Hey guys, I just installed the auto folding mirrors with reverse tilt this weekend with everything working properly so thought I'd share some insights, especially for the posts earlier mentioning struggles with the reverse tilt functionality.

The driver side wiring is pretty straight-forward. However, the passenger side is not 100% clear in these instructions.

There are 4 wires you need to connect (included in the Mikstore kit) from the connector plug going to the passenger side mirror assembly to the large gray connector plug in the door. These are purple, red, blue, and gray. If you look closely at the mirror connector plug in the instructions, you'll notice that the plug is different than what we have in our Integras. If you wire these as pictured, you will have an issue (in my case, my mirror tilted right instead of down).

The trick here is to make sure that when the connector plug is plugged into the mirror wire harness, the colored wires on both sides of this connection match (the instructions mention this, but it's not super clear). So when plugged together, the red wire from the mirror assembly should match with the red wire into the mirror connector plug, the blue one to the blue one, and so on. The door connector wiring should be done exactly as the instructions indicate.

Hope this helps those of you struggling with the reverse tilt.

Some other helpful tips for those of you considering this mod:
- Get yourself a 10mm magentic socket attachment. The mirror nuts are tough to get to, and when removing and re-applying, the magnetic socket will help prevent these from falling into the door panel
- The mirror caps are easily removed by popping the two tabs at the top SIMULTANEOUSLY. Two flat head screwdrivers with firm but gentle pressure upwards and outwards. If you do this, it should pop right off and then you just have to finagle the two side clips a little bit. I know a lot of folks were struggling trying to pry one tab, pry under the turn signal lamp, and then get the second tab out
- Double and triple-check your wiring. De-pinning those suckers is a real PIA if you make a mistake
- Take your time with the "goo" inside the door connecting the plastic water shield to the door frame. If done carefully, this will peel off like silly putty and can be re-attached when done
- Doing this project is a great opportunity for some other side projects if you're so inclined, such as upgrading the mirror glass (like Mugen or Suma), putting flowing LED turn signal lamps in, and swapping out the door LEDs if you want the red interior lighting like the Civic

There are specific wholes through which each mirror nut can be easily removed through with an extension. A magnetic socket would work, but I also found a little painters tape over the hex end of the socket worked just fine.

There are wholes behind the mirror glass which make it easier to remove the caps once the top tabs are loose. An appropriately size flat head screw driver would work well for these or something like this Spudger. When I separated mine I used these iFixit Opening Picks to keep from damaging the plastic.
