Got it, now I understand. I can creep just fine with clutch only and the car does not shudder at all unless I'm about to stall it (other issue entirely, obviously).
Exactly my experience too. I actually like the slight tonal increase as it makes me feel more connected to the engine RPM, which helps me drive smoother.
Wasn't directed at me, but my PRL RMM is totally daily driveable. Passes the spouse test and this is our only car right now. I strongly recommend it without reservation regardless of application.
So do I... (read the saga of this thread for the details) it didn't get rid of the lateral slop I dislike, but it did improve other aspects of the feel enough for me to keep it. It's a great product. Acuity told me that the lateral slop I was targeting is a built in feature of the Honda...
Decided to give the Hybrid Racing transmission detent springs another chance, with a catch.
Previously, I tried out installing just the lateral spring to tighten up the side to side slop and didn't like it. All it did was make the diagonal shifts feel less fluid.
Today, I tried out just...
Oh, and I did the fuse removal mod on the exhaust flap and there's really no drone. It sounds better this way to me! Other than not loving the triple tips, I don't have a desire for an aftermarket exhaust.
Drove a bunch more this weekend with the latest mods (thermal blankets and Turbosmart BOV). I gotta say, the responsiveness and overall power feel noticeably improved. Even my wife commented on it, unsolicited.
My ITS' driving feel is nearing ideal. I'm really happy with it.
Decided to keep the turbo and downpipe elbow blankets and installed them today. Used safety wire instead of the supplied safety springs as it's a much easier install that way. Used a proper safety wire pliers to twist and secure the wires.
So far, I've noticed an increase in low end torque...

Oh, and if you go with Apex wheels with offsets intended for this platform, you shouldn't need spacers at all. They're really just needed for the OE wheels.
It's purely aesthetic!
As for changing front to rear balance, if you go with different spacings you can change the balance. Spacers effectively lengthen the suspension arms which in turn softens the spring rate at the contact patch. That's why I went with matching 15/15 instead of the common...
Well, I'm sad to report that the overrev behavior did not change with the BOV install, as far as I can tell (I haven't driven a ton, but enough to have triggered the behavior a couple times already).
I still like the mod though, for the aforementioned reasons. Gonna keep it!
