The obvious, lol. But that to me is not a solution, just a band aid. Obviously, it's the only apparent option I have, but isn't at all satisfactory to me.
So I thought I was about to be smart, after having a read through various posts on here and civicxi, and that rev match is the culprit. Just turned it off (I am one of the few old farts that actually likes this feature)..... and no change lol.
I'm annoyed at this situation because it's the one...
Nice! Good to meet another NoVA person!
I don't really do CNC's, not my thing... But I might check it out sometime if I get bored.
Where are you located?
So, last night I drove for about 30 minutes in Sport+, intentionally replicating my prior driving style in Sport, and what I found is that the overrev characteristics did not change. Obviously the throttle response did change, but not the between-shift behavior.
I did observe something...
That's a good point about sport +. I normally drive around in sport, so I should try sport+ and see if it is reduced. I avoided using sport + because I hate pops and bangs, but since I opted to delete them in the tune that's an option now.
Will report back.
So, before I go into the negatives, I want to say the tune is running well and is a huge improvement over stock. It basically makes the engine feel "bigger" overall. The area under the curve is really dramatic especially around 3-4k rpm. I am happy with the performance.
That out of the way, I...
So far, close to stock, but I really need to drive it more, and under more specific specific road conditions to really tell.
You definitely can tell it's lowered, but the personality of the handling feels mostly unchanged.
