I'd be curious how it holds up with sustained use for 20 mins. Especially after sitting for an hour or two and then doing 20 mins again. Has anyone actually tracked with these?

There was a type r out with the PRL earlier this year in one of my groups and he did okay first session, but second session he was running +30F ambient on stock tune. Stock it does run aggressively lean, which doesn't help once the turbo gets heat soaked. He also didn't do anything else for cooling.
I would fucking pay money to see those logs myself. But like no more than 20$

I jailbreak on the 25th. I’ll be able to record logs for you! ATM I can’t record but can monitor via obd

I'm really just curious for extensive wot use and high rpm. Most of the time on track you're either generating heat or modulating at midhigh rpm where the turbo isn't super hot but you're heat soaking.

The prl appears to have a good amount of metal to extend the heat it can absorb, but it didn't seem to shed enough heat at high speeds. This aligns with what others have noted about radiator temps increasing from lack of airflow. The hood louvre is most effective when air is passing cleanly and that keeps hot air evacuating. If the pwr allows enough air to pass, maybe it sheds heat better when the engine and intercooler are heatsoaked. I don't think you can really replicate that on the street without a police helicopter following you, lol πŸ˜‚

More than likely. Yeah. Prl probably delays the inevitable a lot due to maybe a combination of more volume and thicker metal core?

Yeah, more metal takes longer to heat, but also longer to dissipate heat. The quality and specific alloy of aluminum also makes a big difference... Learned that from NASA (space agency not sportscar club) research I did in high school πŸ€“.

Took the car in for its yearly free oil change. But I asked them not to touch my oil, oil filter, tire pressure, don’t rotate my tires, don’t wash my car, nothing. Just inspect and report. Cuz I’m lazy af

service advisor: sir I’m being asked to bring you under your car for some news.

Me: fuck. Ok.

Actual flat rate mechanic and not a tech: you have 6940 miles. Front pads start at 15mm. You got 7.5 left. Rears start at 10mm. You got 4.5 left. I think you may have defective pads…

Me: I drive like an asshole. Do not cover my pads via warranty. I want new rotors and pads. I will be purchasing the aftermarket ones and I will be going elsewhere to install. Thnx for the info. I’ll square this away by November

-show dude the two piece front and rear girodisc rotors with counter space cp pads -

Mechanic: fuck. That’s sweet. The temp range on those pads, is that for real?

me: I dunno. I don’t track and will probably never come close to challenging those limits

mechanic and advisor: U don’t track?! How did U chomp through the damn pads so fast?

Me: mind your business plz? But yeah man. Don’t wash my car plz. I will fight you

Mechanic: yes sir

My Jogon shrouds came in and I wanted to share it with the crew. In case anyone else is looking to lighten their bank account also. I bought it from their Ali Express store and you might need to contact them directly to have them do the matte finish as well as have the carbon weave in the same direction as the factory pieces.

That looks great man. I’d love some plastic, metal or literally anything other than cf. would U happen to know if anyone makes anything like that?

how did those fit? Had to trim anything? Grats again!
