I like this option way more than what folks have been buying in Amazon. Def send us some updates after install if it isn’t too much trouble!

That looks like a cleaner setup compared to mounting on the strut tower, especially if you’ve already got a strut bar mounted up.

For the rivet nut tool, you can diy make a tool with some washers and stuff. I ended up going to Home Depot and grabbing a few things to make one and it cost me <$5. I used that to install the envelope style cargo net as well.

Ha ha. I really didn't like the giant struts people have been putting in so far. This is ideal assuming it works.

Same. I contemplated them but didn’t like how they used a strut bolt. The WOT design actually makes more sense also and isn’t in the way like the Amazon ones are.

Anyway, they just confirmed my order but said they sold out and will ship again in 2 weeks. I’ll review and put up pics once I get it in and installed. Btw, super professional and cool folks at WOT from what I can tell.

I just recently installed the WOT hood struts and was wondering does it make your hood bounce when you let the damper lift the hood on it's own at the end. I assume since the dampers are smaller and the location where it's mounted might cause it but just curious if anyone see the same thing.

It does. That’s my only minor gripe but I simply guide the hood up with my hand. I also suspect it’ll smoothen out with time.

Yeah, my main gripe as well. I like the design and the style but doesn't look too physically appealing when you want to let the struts do the work without guiding it. Kind of notice on the install video, he edited it out the bounce part.

Yep, same here. Guiding the hood up is a small price to pay for the convenience IMO.
