It does sound identical to mine. That is a crappy answer they gave you. I wonder how many more complaints it will take before they take action on the mass scale. We represent a small amount of Integra owners so I am sure others have this issue as well.

There is no way to drown out the sound even if you want to. Every movement triggers it.
Yeah I would have stayed and argued with them longer this morning if I didn't have a meeting at work I needed to get back for. If they don't respond by tomorrow i'm going to call the service manager.

It's not worth arguing, buddy. Ask for the manager's email and document your trails.

I sound like an old man yelling at the sky saying this but they don't make them like they used to. In the 2.5 years of having this car (with only 7k miles at that since I had a company car that I used for 99% of the time at my last employer), I have had about 6 loaners: TLX, RDX and the rest were Integra's. Most had some type of issues during my time with the cars, from doors not locking automatically to back up camera glitching.

A friend is a lemon attorney that I consulted with. He said that Honda/Acura will take it to trial now and are aggressive with it, more-so than other car makers. Perhaps it's because many people try to lemon these things.

After driving the car for less than a week, the issue is back. I’m taking it in on Monday. I hope no one else has the issue to this extent I am having.

Mine makes that noise as well. I had them check it out at my last oil change a few months ago, and they just said they “couldn't replicate it”. I know the last time i had a squeak/groan that was in the dash, I got video of it and the service guy just looked at me and said, “well it shouldn't be making that noise…”
-Turns out the whole dash support beam was loose!-
They did get that one fixed, thankfully, BUT there is still a buzz in the dash that happens between 3000-4500 rpm (sounds like buzzing plastics). I’m torn on actually having them fix it because I’d probably be without my car another month like last time. So I guess I’ll keep documenting and trying to get them to do something about the seat at the very least.

Good luck getting yours fixed again. Acura’s quality is really coming into question with all these little issues that just should not exist in this day and age.

Every time they work on the car I always ask for a loaner. I’m with you on the quality comment.

I usually get a loaner for long term repairs. I am like 40 min from the dealer though. It’s a bit of a pain to get down there some days, so I try and limit trips down there..

My seat squeaked horribly under lateral weight transfer between 50°-80° ambient temperature. It was in 4 times for warranty service, it finally quieted down after they swapped another seat from a loaner Integra into it.

A year later the sound came back, and 2 days before my warranty appointment, my toddler sat on my lap and discovered the seat memory button. He moved us from seat position 1 to 2 and back about 6 times, and it hasn't squeaked since. Apparently he can fix cars better than Acura can, and he's only 2!

Sorry to hear about that. Was it the same kind of squeak? Hopefully yours doesn’t come back.

I’ve also done this on my ITS driver’s seat, when it’s made noises I’ve just moved the seat position slightly and the noises stop.

Mine just started doing this same exact thing once the weather warmed up a little so i'm sure it's due to the humidity but mine makes this noise anytime my weight shifts left or right in the car which is all the time. I'm about the start the service appointment process as I can't take it anymore.
It's not because of the humidity, because no seat should be doing this. This is because of the poor design, build quality, and overall quality of the seat itself

I’ve had maybe 10 cars so far in my life ranging from a beater to luxury car. I concur with you on this. The sample size is small here on this forum. If several members are having this issue in addition to me, I wonder how many others out there in the public are. Sadly, many will just accept this is a normal attribute of the car.

Exactly and i've had beater cars with 150,000 miles on them with no squeaking drivers seats so it seems like it's a manufacturer defect with the seats if you ask me. Made too cheap to hold up to normal wear and tear.

Given that mine is temperature dependant and that the whole seat has been replaced, I believe the problem lies with the hardware attaching the seat to the car that doesn't get replaced with a seat. Frame rails or something like that. I think something is torqued incorrectly or was manufactured improperly, and that it warps enough in that temperature range to make noise.

I recommended that they check along those lines on the first of my 4 warranty visits, and they never have been willing to even look.

I forgot to add, my seat squeak sounds just like the one in your video.

Thanks for your input. It seems to be dealership dependent. The last dealership I went to said they needed an approval to replace a seat. I am happy to see some of you guys are getting better treatment at your respective dealerships.

I am waiting for a big YouTuber to have this experience with their daily driver and call out Honda/Acura, LOL.

I am usually not picky when it comes too small issues. I know there are rattles and such, but this thing feels like an old rocking chair.
