I don't allow the car to shift itself in S mode, instead I use in the paddle shifters in order to control gear ratios manually. I'm normally in S-mode with manual gear selection all the time, only going into D mode for low speed driving such as parking lots or traffic jams.
This works...
Has anyone figured out or heard of a way to manually shift the Integra CVT into its true tallest gear while in S mode using the paddle shifters? I'm not asking about the 7th simulated gear that S mode gives you, but the actual tallest gear ratio that the CVT uses when it is automatically...
My entire seat was replaced and the squeaking came back a few thousand miles later.
The only permanent fix was my toddler, sitting on my lap, moving the seat back and forth between the two memory positions about six times in a row. Miraculously, the sound hasn't come back in the 6 months since...
Given that mine is temperature dependant and that the whole seat has been replaced, I believe the problem lies with the hardware attaching the seat to the car that doesn't get replaced with a seat. Frame rails or something like that. I think something is torqued incorrectly or was manufactured...
My seat squeaked horribly under lateral weight transfer between 50°-80° ambient temperature. It was in 4 times for warranty service, it finally quieted down after they swapped another seat from a loaner Integra into it.
A year later the sound came back, and 2 days before my warranty...
I forgot to add, make sure that the recessed part of the orange plastic is nice and dry before inserting the dipstick to get your reading. That seems to be the key for me.
If that part is dry to start with then you'll get a great reading. If not you'll never get a decent reading.
I originally hated the orange plastic, but I realized that it's actually a great idea. It isolates the area containing your reading from any oil picked up on the way out of the dipstick tube.
If you only pay attention to the flat, recessed area in the middle of the plastic for your oil reading...
I had a terrible and hard to locate rattle from the overhead console area. It turned out to be poorly secured wiring making contact with the plastic covers over the camera that's forward of the rear view mirror.
I just removed the covers, put felt tape or adhesive foam on anything that might...
For me it's not about the time it takes to hit the Individual button, it's about me occasionally forgetting to hit it.
I hate stopping at a light or stop sign and having the engine suddenly shut off due to idle stop not being deactivated.
The short install has been totally worth it for me to...
There is a module you can buy from Idlestopper and install that will do it, but in the car's stock form, no.
I've got the module and it's great. Install was easy and they have instructions on YouTube.
The Proclip mount and Proclip base is a very good combo. That's what's in my pictures on the first page of this topic. I use a Pixel 6 in mine, it's flawless.
A 12-18 inch cable for checking will let you use wireless Android Auto all day long, though I've started just using wired Android Auto...
I wrapped my piano black center console cover in matte black vinyl. If anyone is considering doing a wrap, here's what a nice matte black looks like:
This was my first attempt at wrapping and was easier than I thought it would be. I highly recommend going for it if you're thinking about it.
I've had a rear facing car seat in the Integra for 10 months now and there's plenty of space for it, more than in the TLX. The TLX felt cramped with the same seat.
The only problem the Integra has with a rear facing car seat is the low fast back roof profile, which makes getting a baby in...
I've had 2 TLXs as loaner cars and both my wife and I agree that they feel noticeable more cramped inside compared to the Integra. The TLX interior uses space very inefficiently in my opinion.
I just did my 6th oil change at just under 25,000 miles. I did the first at 1,000 miles, with subsequent changes every multiple of 5k miles after that.
I'm using Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy or Pennzoil Platinum and either a Mobil 1, Wix, or Honda/Acura oil filter. The filters were all about...
Does anyone worry about the big gaps between the sides of the hood and the tops of the front fenders?
I feel like there should be some kind of barrier there and worry about what could go straight into the engine bay.
