I’m still debating. $2200 is not bad if they are including ceramic coating. But I would ask them about the ceramic. It might be a basic ceramic. I’m leaning towards ceramic and not doing the PPF this time. I honestly do not drive a lot, so I’m thinking the PPF might be a bad investment. However the ceramic, done the right way, might be better this time. It truly does make the car washing a breeze. I still need to take car to me detailer and see what it would cost and if they’d offer me any kind of deal. More to come…Did you end doing PPF? I. I would ask on the ceramic. It could be a real basic package, but agree, it’s a good price overall. That's a bargain if it includes ceramic coating.
Yeah full front including headlights and ceramic coatingThat's a bargain if it includes ceramic coating.
It's from a reputable person. It was a referral which is why the guy said he's giving me that price. He told me ceramics usually last 2 years and anyone who says else wise is just shoving bs to make it seem better. He said he only uses gislity film and quality product but maintenance is the main thing.. so I just wanted to see how the price comparedI would ask on the ceramic. The price isn’t bad at all. I’m only familiar with SunTek and Xpel. I ultimately went with SunTek and am extremely happy with it on our MDX. The maintenance part is spot on. Follow directions. That has been the hardest part for us. We are lazy by nature. No more automatic car washes or anything like that. But we have ceramic on the MDX too, and that makes it easier. It's from a reputable person. It was a referral which is why the guy said he's giving me that price. Yeah I wasn't planning on using machine washes either way.. they are horrible for your car. Lol I have a foam. Perfect thank you. Yeah those are the brands he uses as well so should be goodThe price isn’t bad at all. I’m only familiar with SunTek and Xpel. I ultimately went with SunTek and am extremely happy with it on our MDX. I didn't take any temps and relief on what others.have done with their FL5. I plan on tuning which adds additional heat.Any chance you did a before and after IAT? Any
further mods like a boost controller & tune? The reason I asked is I was wondering if a mod like this would help much with a stock engine. The factory intercooler seems to be a decent size.
Sorry if this has been answered somewhere else here, I haven’t had a turbo boosted car in quite a while.
The transmission is known to be notchy. It's misleading when reviewers say how smooth it is.This is a 2 part ordeal:
What I did today was finally drive backroads to our vet to pick up the dogs meds & a couple other errands on my lunch break. Holy crap - it's incredibly fun & nimble. 70-80 into turns while still keeping it around 4k rpm's max & it was just easy going. Looking forward to pushing the limits with the G meter.
The other part is a question for those that have had their car longer than me. I signed the papers with 9 miles. Handed them a typed up paper with my accessories & demands ? & at pickup there was now a full tank & 13 miles & I'm pissed about that. My question however, is regarding the notchiness/clicking of the synchro's in the shifting as you work through the gears. Is that a normal characteristic of this car? I feel like they may have ripped it on their fuel up on the "test drive route" for customers. Going to go back to it to see if it clocks at 4 miles, although they could've taken it anywhere really. I will drive their demo again to compare, but that may not also be the best standard to go by. I'm wondering what I want to ask the manager for concerning this. Personally, I don't think it's out of the question to give me a free warranty of some sort - mainly regarding the transmission component of the power train.
Thoughts?
I was questioning those statements today while driving it this morning. The transmission is known to be notchy. It's misleading when reviewers say how smooth it is.
Thanks for the clarification! Definitely misleading there. The transmission is known to be notchy. It's misleading when reviewers say how smooth it is.
How is the driving with the new intercooler? Also, any check engine lights? I went to a shop that does mods for Hondas and they also said that the full benefit of the after market intercooler will not be reached unless you tune it. So I am wondering if it is worth doing it now vs. when the tuning is available.I know some were wanting to see what the silver PRL intercooler looked like.
