What's up guys? Not sure where to put this but I have a Type S and as you know we have built-in headrest and I have a toddler who I'm about to switch to a forward-facing car seat. Anyone know which ones work? I saw somewhere I think on Facebook that there were issues with the car seats and the built-in headrest. So if anyone has one that works I can point me in the right direction. Whether they put it in the middle or they found the car seat that works good. Please let me know that would be greatly appreciated and save me lots of time and effort. Thank you guys in advance

I have the Graco Tri-Ride and have no issues with it getting in the way of the headrest. The only thing is because the headrest is not removable/adjustable, if you use the top Latch strap, it will compress the foam in the top of your headrest permanently. I plan on just buying a new passenger side seatback after my kid grows out of the car seat.

Absolutely do not put the car seat in the middle, as there are no seat belts or Latch points in that spot. Child safety is more important than a damaged headrest.

With this particular seat installed on the passenger side, its cupholders kinda get in the way of the driver side folding down all the way, but I can get it to work with a small bit of effort (put pressure on the child seat while pushing the car's seatback down).

Much appreciated I'm assuming you have to use the top latch correct

Yeah, it helps prevent the top of the car seat moving foward in a rear-end collision.
Thanks for the info now I have a go to option . Hopefully others reply so I have multiple options

I posted about this but specifically for High Back Boosters.

https://www.integraforums.com/forum/threads/kids-booster-seats.55918/

The 4 in 1 Seat (Graco 4Ever DLX) works with the headrests perfectly fine. I have 2 of them in the car now, one in forward facing harness mode and one in high back booster mode. The eventual issue will be the adjustable back hitting the roof.

Not sure if it helps, but I'm using Diono Radian 3r in the DE4. They work great - kind of cramped if using them as rear facing, though.

I have the slimfit3 lx which I believe is functionally the same carseat as @akoza's tri-ride.

No issues with the fixed headrest and good on @akoza to point out the top strap. One tip though - you don't need to ratchet it down that it compresses the headrest. It just needs to be taut so tight enough where it barely makes an indentation is fine.

I've posted this pic elsewhere before but here it is again.

Another note: I got these since they were relatively cheaper than the britax I have in my other car (and the integra isn't a dedicated kid hauler). But if it was my DD, I'd strongly consider the britax one4life slim which is the narrower version of what my wife and I have in each of our cars - SUPER easy to install and you can get a rebound bar accessory while RF.

Yeah she's barely in my car the occasional cars and coffee on Sundays and just a quick 5 min ride in the morning 1 mile from house .. so safety always important but also cost like u since she's not in it much

Slimfit3 lx is probably good for you too then. It's nice and narrow. Graco's install just sucks compared to Britax since Britax is damn near dummy proof - no tightening, finagling, fixing.

You just click the seatbelt in, push the toddler seat bottom down and it fixes it in place.

I didn't want to run a cycle of buying and returning car seats all the time. I've started reaching out to the car seat manufacturers for clarification of what is and is not acceptable for the high back booster positioning.

They've been pretty responsive and have asked for pictures so they can give a thumbs up or down.
