I love the use of the spare tire well. This gives me an idea of using one of those thin subs and integrating it with the floor but recessed to fit a grille and protect the sub since I do put a bunch of stuff in my trunk. I was thinking of just getting a downfiring box for a thin sub and securing it to the trunk floor but this would be a lot cleaner.

I really enjoy the ELS system but I drive it too hard because of the meh lower end. I’ve blown my driver side A-pillar and upper door speakers and really sad about the lopsided sound image lol so I’ve got a few projects on the backlog pending funding. Love to see some folks making progress, can’t wait to try it out.

I was on the fence for awhile and then one day I smelled burning voice coil. I didn't blown anything but I was definitely trying too hard to get the bass out of it. I knew it was time for an upgrade! The only negative is some exterior rattles, mostly the 3rd brake light. I'm sure it could be addressed without much effort.

I don't have a picture. But, behind the battery and down a bit. There's a grommet you can get through. And it comes out near the break pedal.

Professional shop build the box and install. Amp under passengers seat.

They laser scanned the foam insert to start for building the box.

Child seat strap....it is unfortunate for sure.
And I haven't played with it enough to give a good answer. My gain isn't even set up yet. Plus...I dont want to push a new sub hard.

Unsure if this may work in the ITS, but in my old RSX Type-S I removed the plastic in between the two rear seats and put the car seat there w/ a seat protector underneath. Then used the anchors on either said, plus a rear anchor.

Under $1000 for install, I provided sub, amp, and wires.
Box was $450 install $350, line out converter $100.. plus tax. Something like that.

Any luck getting the noise out of the system? If so, what was it? Bad ground?

Acura pipes engine noise into our sound system to give us that “feel” of an engine that is awesome and sporty. On the Acurazine 3G RDX forums there was a guy who found a way to disable the engine sounds pipped in. My ASpec has a proper exhaust system from Thermal R&D that sounds just right for me.
