Yes, it can auto detect the vin. Then it brings me to a list of countries/areas: Canada, Europe, General, Japan, USA. When I click on any of those, it takes me to the same list of models. The Integra is not listed at all. Interestingly, if I click on any of the other models, the newest year that it has available is 2018.
Has anybody else actually been able to use this app to connect to their integra? Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like this app is correct for our cars.

So it appears that with virtually all things on the Internet, there is no single source of truth.

I guess you could try choosing the FL5 instead. Probably same computer...

Why not just manually crank it back from the front or rear?
I thought about that but one main theme I seemed to keep reading in other places was that this is pretty risky for stripping out the gears in the EPB. I was then having visions of costing myself a few hundred dollars to get the EPB fixed while trying to save myself a few hundred dollars on brake replacement labor. Seemed like it could easily end up as a wash or worse. <Insert old man comment about new cars being too complicated for the average weekend DIYer to work on.>

That could possibly work but with the Autel/Asia-Diag app you only get one manufacturer for free. Any additional manufacturers after that first one are $20. Based on what I was seeing in the Acura section with only showing 2018 as the newest year for any car and not having the Integra listed at all, I wasn't at all confident that the Honda section would have anything for the FL5 and figured I wouldn't have much chance of getting that $20 back. I was that annoyed that I didn't want to spend the $20 just to see.
Since using this dongle and app seems to be fairly common and nobody seems to be running into the same issue as me, I could certainly chalk it up to user error on my end but I messed around with the app long enough and tried every combination of dongle in or out when the car is started up, running, battery on but engine not running, etc. that I don't think it's necessarily just me.

Yeah I tried the electronic method and the tool I used had a weird notification after it released and because I tapped it and the caliper was off, it shot the piston out. Whole caliper ruined.

I'm not worried about stripping gears if the brake is released, honestly. You can take the motor off if you really are and just turn the e-torx on the back. I find both the crank down and motor off methods to be easier/faster than the electronic method.
