Anyone have a recommendation for a lower-profile knob than the OEM? Preferably slightly heavier would be ideal. Idk if the Hybrid racing chicane or acuity poco are heavier but I think they’re lower.
One post above... Lathewerks. Chris will countersink and make whatever you want. For the shortest knob, the sphere or the barrel would be it. You could also get the acuity collar which buys a tiny bit of space, or even ask Chris to make a flared bottom and you can skip the collar and pinch the boot with a small bolt.

I like the idea of custom; yours looks great!

I am torn between the hybrid racing collar and the acuity one

Thanks! I love mine, but I 99% got it for the size and shape so I'm very happy and that was easy. I went with the acuity collar because I wanted ti that matched my knob trim ring, but I hear the hybrid one fits a little more snugly. I'd just figure out the knob first and then match a collar in for yourself.

Really want to pull the trigger on the right one as my first, even though I know eventually I’ll catch the itch and soon have a drawer of knobs…

I think I found one I’d like. The titanium seems like it’ll be the perfect weight and the counter-sinking will have it sitting just right it sounds. I love the ability and thoroughness of their customization as well. Blued finish ti go well with the Apex Blue?

In due time I hope I will come to find the same for myself! Do you know what the ‘protective satchel’ is when you’re specing out the knob? Is that for when you’re parked to keep the sun off of the knob?

It's just a little bag the knob comes wrapped in. I couldn't even remember that option but I apparently selected it lol. You could use it to keep the sun off, sure... but I think it's more just a little touch for the unboxing experience.

Lol and Ah OK I see. That was my second guess.
I’ll be sure to post once I receive it and my boot collar. Hoping in the upcoming weeks. Just have to convince the wife it is a true upgrade that will ‘help’ the car not just be pretty ?

Yeah it's a little bag and can be used to keep the sun off. Honestly, one of the best is if you can find one of the mini crown black bottles... The black velvet bag is perfect for keeping the sun off.

lol oh yeah I remember folks doing that back in the day specifically with their Hondas. May be the move as it’s already started to get toasty here in the NE. And thank you for confirming!

I don't necessarily leave my car in the sun often, but honestly with ceramic window tint I've never noticed it be excessively hot. Yes it gets warm but not to the point where I don't want to touch it. Mine has Xpel Prime on the sides and windshield.

Does nothing for the cold though lol. At least my garage doesn't dip below 50.

That’s on my list of mods as well. My previous integra had the xpel Xr+ tint all around (moonroof included) and it was life-changing. The past few summers especially when headed down the shore and sitting in Jersey traffic. Made the AC not have to work as hard also so a quieter cabin and maybe would prolong the blower motor etc.

If you want to match APB, send him a pic and ask him to try and get the blue hue as close as possible.

Roger that. I really like how customizable these knobs are. I was thinking of doing just that when I send the custom engraving details as well ?
