2026 Double Apex Blue ITS
Hey all, finally picked up my new Double Apex Blue ITS this week. Spent a lot of time researching and reading through the forums here, incredibly helpful. Had been wanting to get into a CTR for a long time (Boost Blue is so good...), but the dealer markups and the more mature approach of the ITS pulled me in. Didn't hurt that every reviewer seems to love the hell out of it.

Have had a Focus ST, E92 M3, and two Focus RSes as fun cars in the past (definitely regret selling my RS), but had been driving an old Fit for the last few years. Was a fine car for sure, but recently realized that I just really love driving and it's something that's important to me and brings me joy. Tomorrow is never promised so decided to just go for it, and think I have a real forever car here.

Huge shoutout to Radley Acura (thank you Tony), read a lot of posts here and on reddit that recommended them and can confirm they are legit. Got a pretty damn good deal on a 26 and am very happy.

Out in Nova so will try to hit up the Dulles C&C at some point. Hope to see some of you on the road, feel like I only ever see CTRs around where I am!

LOL Grats man
Nah nothing. The color is a nice look over the black bumper pieces. I dig it

U don’t know it yet but you’ve entered a war against the og apex blue guys…..

it’s ok. I’m not one of em. I’m busy fighting off the silver and grey homies off for the glory of liquid carbon metallic 😤

Bro I somehow quoted myself instead of U. šŸ˜‚
Lol yeah when I was researching I saw that a lot of the og Apex Blue team were not thrilled. I was originally going to go with the white until I saw the 26’s had DAB…had to have it. I have a type when it comes to colors apparently.

Looks incredible, congrats! Early driving impressions?
In love with it. The shifter is every bit as good as every review raved about and it’s sneaky fast. I test drove both the CTR and the ITS and it was funny seeing how people complained about how stiff they are (especially the CTR) and I was like ā€œthis is like a gentle ride in the park compared to how stiff the RS was.ā€ The sport mode suspension in that car was basically undriveable, there was so much pogo. When I first really hit the gas on my ITS test drive and the turbo hit, I legit cackled and that was the moment I knew it was the ITS. It feels like a unicorn in many ways - there’s just really not much else in this range that checks all the boxes I want: nice, manual, 4 door, fun, hatch (liftback, I know, I know), affordable-ish. My dad’s got an M2 and that car has sooo much power and is certainly nicer on the inside. A wildly fun drive, but for my purposes the ITS does everything the M2 does and it’s got two extra doors for the family.

The seats in the CTR are magical imo, but my wife really hated the Recaros in my RS and didn’t want to do that to her again. Plus the heated seats are a nice thing to have where I’m at. I know it’s sacrilege to many, but I’m getting the DWS06+ put on today because I just don’t have it in me at this stage to do the summer/winter swap again especially with how manic our weather can be here in the DMV. I’m not tracking it or pushing it like crazy, so hopefully the feel won’t change too much. I have littles in the back most of the time too so I’m a bit more risk-averse driver than I once was.

I’ve only had it for a few days and have gotten compliments everywhere I’ve gone, which is fun too haha.

Amazing, glad you are enjoying it so far! I have been on a waitlist for awhile now (Canada) and ended up getting a Golf R instead. Still on the allocation list so we will see :).

I too swapped on the DWS06+ and I might just keep them on in the summer - they are excellent at everything! My theory is the rounded sidewalls vs. the PS4s more square sidewalls lends a more consistent load-up in turns. The max grip *may* not be as good, but I can't tell the difference and I drive on the street like I'm trail braking on track, lol.

My wife's family lives in Erie, PA so we go there every Thanksgiving and Xmas, and this time I was hopping off the PA Turnpike, and forgot the turn I was entering decreases its radius by 50% in the last 1/3rd and I was like, whelp we're about to understeer.... and I was wrong. The tires continued to grip despite the tightening radius and I didn't even hear a scrub. And this was COLD weather. I am convinced the Michelins would have juddered under the same conditions.

If I get track wheels I'll throw the Michelins on those as the first tire set before going to 200TW.
