Yellow, yellow, yellow! Who GAF about yellow? It's just a publicity ploy. Honestly, I'm amazed by how many people care about about the color of a prototype vehicle. It's just paint, there will be various options to choose from when the vehicle hits the road.
I give a big fuck about yellow. I've even owned quite a few yellow cars.

to the majority on here pining for the Integra Type R (DC2);

That was only named Acura here - it was named HONDA everywhwre else except maybe Hong Kong. Only sold in USA for years 1997,98,99 and 2001. Only 3823 Models ever made it here to be offered. "ACURA" is only sold to this day in USA and it's done that to be known as the "Luxury Brand" of HONDA. Even the original NSX and the newest Model are named "Acura" only here - Acura (in USA) made 3 Performance Models to be sold here - the NSX the Integra GS-R and the Integra Type R - named as HONDA everywhere else where they were/are sold.

Did Acura Marketing make a mistake on naming this new Model as an "Integra" ?? Maybe they did and were focusing on past popularity of the Brand, but let's stop the whining - if this new Model had been named ILX, then what would everyone be saying? Of course then there may have been no need for this Forum

.....no real reason except Marketing, that Acura can't make a Coupe Model - the 4 door is based on the Civic Platform, and there still remains the previous Gen Civic Coupe Platform to use. Marketing figures they won't sell is probably their reason for not doing it.

Civic Coupe platform can’t be used as it’s retired. Once a chassis is retired it can’t be used for future models. The current civic chassis is the same one as the 10th Gen but very different as there has been structural changes that make it a lot better. They couldn’t do that with the Civic coupe because it was retired. Also Acura is sold in China.

New look of the rear hatch opened Via MotorTrend. Glad to see a hard tonal cover instead of the flimsy Civic cover tray.

If Acura really did decide to give the Integra AWD it'd be a huge selling point for the price point they're aiming for. However, that also adds alot of weight. Hopefully that also would mean a substantial power bump over the 200hp Si tuned 1.5T or else it'll be a total slug in 0-60 runs. The Si is already seeing runs around 7.1 seconds. And while I know the base Integra isn't aiming to be a FAST car... no matter how good it handles or how "fun" it is to drive, having to plan ahead for freeway merges isn't fun either if the car can't even get out of it's own way.

With AWD on the table, at least another 20-30hp/tq would probably be needed if they (hopefully) want to keep the 0-60 time under 7 seconds, which is competitive for most of the entry level premium class (around 6.5-6.7 would be the target at the very least).

A very interesting development to say the least. Super excited to get more info as it trickles out.
