And how's that working out for you?Good for you...I'm not that guy
Net-net, it seems like you still failed to inspect your car, and ended up disappointed with nothing you can actually do about it except complain on a forum. How exactly is being "that guy" helping you? Dragging your dealership experience in this thread can hypothetically help others, but it isn't doing a whole lot for you, right?
What I think you're trying to get across is that it sucks. In that I guess we agree... but some things in life just suck. Maybe your expectations aren't unreasonable to you- but where expectations meet reality doesn't always align. That's all I'm trying to say. In this case it really comes down to just shrugging your shoulders and moving on. This whole outrage thing is just something we as a society like to do now...
I don't think the delay impacts the dealer as much as you may think. At least, it's worth the risk that you'd just accept delivery without really glancing at it much like 90%+ of their other customers do.It's for mutual benefits, if they had caught it before I came, I would've been out in an hour. I wasn't going to sign the docs w/o it being fixed. So it delayed everybody's (service tech, sales guy, finance manager) work.
Expectations vs reality.
