TN - Harper Acura in Knoxville (and most of the other Harper network dealers). Always a great experience with them, they were transparent throughout and though they did require ~$300 in accessories I did not request they worked out a way to get me more than that back in discounts using Acura financing. They do not do markups, and they frequently have customers fly in to do business with them for that reason.

Frank Leta Acura - MSRP BUT…$1500 for all season mats, cargo tray, & ceramic coating on all their new vehicles. That’s very steep for what you get. Id rather just spend $1500 in the accessories that I specifically want - so if they don’t budge in that, it’s their own fault. Plus doc fees. Sales staff is always changing - I’ve had 5 salesmen in the past 6 months. ?

Great idea @Integra23. Dealers should be on these forums to get to know their customize & capitalize the right way. On the Ram truck forum, there’s a couple dealers that are so damn good people travel from all over the country to get theirs there or even pay to have it shipped. Their internet salespeople usually give 11-13% off MSRP & 9-11% off for the TRX. Would be nice to anything off MSRP here! ?

Ed Martin in Indiana stated they were no markup only optional accessories, none forced, when I bought my plebian integra. I don't know if they plan on changing that with the type s. Their finance/admin dept. could not answer a phone call to save their life though when I was trying to find out OTD cost.

Wonderful dealership with an honest and transparent salesman I have worked with to buy my regular Integra. Found out late that 10k markup on ITS. Super uncool considering I was promised an MSRP dealership. That being said, my sales guy was super honest and great to work with and didn't agree with the markup. Guess it came down from general management. FWIW their sister Honda dealership also had a 10k markup on the Type R which is what pushed me to acura in the first place. Go figure.

I would say it's the best dealership I've worked with in general. This last minute change to capitalize on low supply (after being assured they have never sold over Msrp before, even PMC editions) really rubbed me the wrong way. Enough to make me not even want to stay within acura anymore.

I've pretty much given up looking for an ITS because of this but here are some other dealers I've heard from:

Sounded like they were only offering the demo unit but was good to see them being up front with what little details they had. Here is their response:

"(1) the process to reserve a spot is you put down a $1,000 deposit which holds the car for you when it comes in. The deposit is non-refundable but if you changed your mind you would get $1,000 in parts and service or use the money towards another vehicle.

(2) Normally we have a doc and processing fee which comes to $699. Having said that, in order for us to even be able to get a Type S we are required to pretty much max it out with accessories. I do not have a good figure for what that will add to the cost of the car. Most dealers will probably get one this year. Also, once we receive the car we can not sell it for 30 days and during that time people will be able to test drive the car.

(3) We have already had 5 inquiries about the car today. Because of the high demand and the uniqueness of the car, the price will be at a premium."

Responsive but didn't seem to have much information. Stated "pre-orders have to be done online through the main Acura website. It will begin May 11th with a $1,000 deposit required. That is the process Acura has put in place, as of this time, so you wont have to worry about dealer markup."
Unsure if there will actually be MSRP allocations or not if you reserve.

I will second them as I purchased here as well. They did add the all weather floor mats and trunk tray, but confirmed they would remove if I did not want them. Honest and transparent.

In Massachusetts, I have a deposit down with Acura of Peabody where they told me they do not sell above MSRP, but require lug nuts/wheel guards additional (but you can request not to get those if you add other options).

I also called Acura of Boston and IRA Acura Westwood who both told me they cannot guarantee MSRP and will probably have ADM.

The only Acura dealer in New Mexico is Montano Acura and I have purchased two cars from them (2017 MDX Advance and 2021 RDX PMC) with zero issues, zero ADM. Their service department is top notch. No BS ever.
But... they have little info on the ITS and are not taking deposits until they know further. Also, they have stated there might be an ADM but have not made a decision yet.

Which is good but, in 10 months time, we might be fools for paying MSRP for a Type S.
The automotive market is extremely volatile and may get much worse in the coming months.
