  1. So what exactly is the Data Sharing Notification we're getting, actually sharing ?

The EDR exists mostly for covering the manufacturer's butt in the event of a crash. Someone dies, their family sues the manufacturer, the manufacturer can look at that data and say, "yep, we screwed up, that airbag should've deployed" or, "nobody was wearing their seatbelts and they were...
  2. Seatbelt Harness: Anyone installed a Sparco or Schroth?

I installed a schroth 3(4) point bolt-in harness in my Camaro. Fairly easy install, use the same bolts as the existing seatbelt for the lower, then for the upper I chose to go to the parcel shelf upper child seat anchors because the angles worked in that car, for the Integra I'd recommend going...
  3. Sticky/Jerky Steering issue

Well, I think it's finally happening on mine. Was driving down the interstate last week and as I came out of a corner it felt like the steering briefly didn't want to move. Gave it a few more days to make sure, but I'm definitely noticing it more and more on the freeway, I feel it when...
  4. Track Impressions with Integra Type S at SCCA Track Night @ Dominion Raceway

Thought it was quite interesting how similar your lap times with the Type S were to what I ran in my Camaro my first time out at VIR. Very impressive to be pulling those lap times with ~100 less HP than what my Camaro is running!
  5. OEM+ solution: MagSafe puck to replace Qi charger

Sounds like a cool project! I have a couple of entry-level 3D printers, as well as CAD software and an Integra. Would be happy to help with printing if you're not able to find a good option locally. But also I have used Shapeways in the past(before I had a printer). Good option that's not too...
  6. Aftermarket oil temp / pressure gauges

Following as I'm curious what solutions people have. IMO the cleanest would be an OBD adapter that has an app compatible with AA/Carplay, but I have yet to nail down a solution that will work for that. P3 vent gauges would be the other thing to look into, they were big in the VAG world but I...
  7. Anyone been on an autocross track yet?

Thanks! Most of the courses I do are just cones, it definitely is hard to follow from the sidelines but I find them much clearer when you're on course. This Venue had the colored plastic barriers, which definitely improves the clarity; but the trade-off is you really want to stay off the...
  8. Recommended Set of Brake Pads?

I ran Dynamic friction track pads for performance driving and a set of their Euro 5000 for daily use on my Camaro last summer. The ceramic pads didn't have much bite, but also kept the wheels cleaner. The track pads were more suited to my AutoX/daily usage than the ceramics, had equivalent to...
  9. New to Acura/Honda - question about water in doorsill

I noticed the same thing on my doorsill. My Audi never did that but they had triple-sealed doors, I do not believe the Integra is nearly as sound/water tight. But to the other poster's point, it's just plastic so I don't worry about it, although I do clean it every now and then.
  10. Ambient Lighting Not Working

It does dim/brighten with the gauge cluster illumination adjustment, so there's that, but yeah... Pretty much no control, certainly no color adjustment.
  11. The Integra is a major let down

O.P., I completely agree with most of your sentiments. I'd add that the engine doesn't feel or sound like a "luxury" powertrain. It does seem like a brand claiming to be "premium" should be able to do better in the NVH and interior rattle departments. BUT - I also understand that the car was...
  12. Autocross megathread

Saw a white A-spec out at my last TNiA at VIR a couple of weeks ago and it was doing alright for what it is. Absolutely dusted it in my Camaro SS, but that is to be expected, that's why I drove the Camaro to that event and not my A-spec. Type S may be a different story with the added power, but...
  13. Drivetrain vibration / metal rattle sound

I also have owned many turbo cars and never heard a noise like this before - but this is my first turbo Honda product and apparently this has been an issue for the past generations of turbo Honda as well. I only hear it in gear on my A-spec 6MT, as the engine revs drop too fast otherwise. I also...
  14. Dealer has my deposit

I've gotten refunds on "non-refundable" deposits by giving a few reasons that I didn't like the vehicle, typically things that might have been mentioned in reviews but weren't something the manufacturer specified. "More road noise than I thought it would have, these panels don't line up as well...
  15. Cvt vs 6spd lsd winter

I have the 6MT and drove it in some snow/ice this year, from everything I experienced the diff was absolutely worth it. It's also nice to have just in wet weather use, with the open diff civics if you punch it at low speed in a corner it just spins the inside tire; not a problem I have...
  16. How to PPF the front?

Can confirm, the laser-cut template has the letters cut out. No PPF on the recessed portion. I, too, was curious when I brought it in how they would handle it. I had it done by a professional shop in Nashville and it looks great. Noticeable from up-close, but as soon as you're a few feet away it...
  17. Mpg

I get around 38-40mpg on 93. I do not "hypermile" it at all, but my commute is 50% interstate so that probably helps. I did notice a significant improvement after ~10k miles, before that I was averaging 36mpg or so. The conditions you're driving in and how you're driving make a huge difference...
  18. 1.5l Integra Air Filter

Never heard of 12-15k air intake filter maintenance intervals on a modern car, would be interested to see the Manufacturer's literature that suggests that. That would fall in between suggested oil changes on these, seems unusual that a manufacturer would schedule it that way. Our '18 Mustang...
  19. 1.5l Integra Air Filter

Was performing my usual pre-road trip inspections and noticed that the air filter on my Integra A-spec 6MT was filthy. Thing only has 14k miles on it. I know it's a small filter, but I've seen cars with 40k on an air intake filter that looked nicer than this. Ordered a Pure Guard PA99892 as it...
  20. New owner - 2023 Silver Integra!

Sweet car, love the silver on these! Personally, I'd wait until you get some more mileage on the stock tires before putting money into new ones. So far my only complaints on the tires are the noise and the wet weather traction; both things that could easily be addressed with some fancier rubber...
