For those of you getting the A-Spec, what are your thoughts on sticking with the 18"s or getting the optional 19"s (235/35)?

I really like the way the 19"s look, especially after seeing them in movement in Raiti's video, but I live in a pretty busy suburban/bordering urban place. Our roads aren't the best, and I'm a little concerned about how well the 19"s will hold up with all the poor quality roads, potholes, and constant construction we've got.

Anyone care to share their thoughts or experiences?

It’ll have a pretty thin side wall. I’m sure they’ll hold up with standard road hazards, but probably won’t feel great to drive on.

I'll likely stick w/ the 18s. Our roads are decent enough around me for the most part. I've never felt like my Si needed 19s either. 18s look good, plus they are typically lighter. If I get 19s I'd probably want something aftermarket anyways, along w/ a high performance summer tire, which I don't believe the Integra is going to be available with.

The bullitt has much thicker sidewalls than the integra with 19’s will have. That’s the difference in ride quality. Not the actual size of the wheel.

If you get the 19s you can buy your own type of tire.. it's rims only.

Wait, so if you option the 19s, you don't get a tire with them? That'd be a hard pass.

Yes its dealership installed item. So you buy the rims and pick out tires.

The integra 19” wheels has 35’s yes. But that’s a ratio on 235 wide. Idk what the bullitt profile is, but even at 35 that’s off of a much wider tire. Therefore it has much thicker sidewalls.

Well that's at least comforting to know that I wouldn't have to worry too much about our poor road quality when it comes to damaging the tires.

Do you think even with the Adaptive Dampers w/the Tech Package, the ride would be too harsh? (Forgive my ignorance...coming from a Honda Fit, I've never had the luxury of experiencing Adaptive Dampers lol)

Since you are "coming from a Honda Fit," your ass is likely so desensitized that any improvement will seem like floating on clouds of feathers.

I gotta go with Car and Driver on this one: "unless you believe it is better to look good than to feel good, take our advice and stay away from extremely low-profile sidewalls and massively heavy wheels."

I'm thinking I would trade my 18" wheel tire combo for the smaller ones. I think 17" on base Integra, and you can get the 16" on a Civic. I like the higher tire profile for ride purposes. I don't expect to race on the track!
I hit a pothole in my Saab and it had 16" wheels, and the darned tire guy didn't match my Conti - Pure Contact. Those were great tires.
