  1. Disable Fake Engine Noise

My A-Spec absolutely has piped in sounds. I blew the subwoofer early on and got these terrible buzzing sounds as I accelerated. At first my dealer denied that such a thing existed, except in an NSX. When I pushed they admitted it's there, but wouldn't/couldn't disable it. Dealer replaced it...
  2. Do I need to let my integra cool down after driving?

I believe it's a good idea to drive an engine hard some times. But it's a bad idea to do that either starting very cold, or to turn it off when very hot.
  3. Do you have a car totem?

I have a single sleigh type bell (tarnished) on a red cord. I hang it from the rearview as my only Christmas decoration. Probably around 15 years.
  4. Would you buy it again?

Not to hijack because the thread is about the ITS and I bought an ASPEC. But I feel my car has many compromises. I've owned heavier, more substantial cars, the Integra is more tinny, and the seats are 90 minute seats, not 4 hour seats. I actually test drove a Mercedes 300E and it offers the...
  5. Too Old For ITS?

Sounds fun to drive but hard ($$$) to own. I had a turbo fail on my Saab, but that was around 175K miles. Failing under 100K would be unacceptable to me. God willing, I'll see 200kmiles+ from the Integra.
  6. Too Old For ITS?

This car was on my short list for a while, but I never located one at the right time. Glad I held out for a A-Spec (I'm 63) but I'd be interested in your experience with the Buick.
  7. What cars do you currently own besides the ATS?

I love those with the white wheels! So retro!
  8. 1 year of ownership a-spec

    This.
  9. "Ordering" a specific configuration?

In 2018 we ordered a specific RDX. It was the first year of a new design. I dealt with a very good dealer, Mungenast in ST. Louis. They estimated how long it would take and they were very close. IMO, since you are not looking for an allocation car, you should have a quickish turnaround. It...
  10. The Integra is a major let down

This. I've driven mine for a year, but only 6000 miles. The only rattles I've observed is when the windows are down at highway speed it blows the seat belts around, I think. Pretty irritating, but I just roll the windows up. Also I blew out the subwoofer early on, and that caused noises...
  11. Speaker rattle

I don't think it's warranteed, but I was pretty persistent and got a replacement. The dealer wouldn't agree that there was anything wrong with the speaker, it passed their testing. I dealt with the service manager, when I finally got to him, and he was prepared to do what it takes to satisfy...
  12. Speaker rattle

Usually in the teens...But, I like to drive on the highway with the windows down, and when a favorite song comes on, yeah I crank it. My takeaway is that while the audio quality is excellent, the drivers are weak, and don't support loud music. Life is full of compromises and the integra is...
  13. Speaker rattle

I blew out my subwoofer in the first few months of ownership. It caused the piped in exhaust sound to distort badly! I got the dealer to replace it, and now I am careful to keep the volume down under 20. :(
  14. For Sale?

Actually started thinking about selling my PWP 2023 A-Spec Tech MT6. I hate the whole idea, because I love everything about driving the car. But...my left knee is uncomfortable enough that I haven't driven it in two weeks. Seven days in a row of driving and I'm usually hobbling. I'll be 63...
  15. Android Auto

Makes sense. Original post was a while back. I've gotten used to the issues and usually can resolve them quickly. The Pixel though, I dunno. 80% of the time it's really good to work with. 15% it's different and a bit challenging. 5% - it just sucks.
  16. Contemplating and WWYD on Type S

Great post Dusty! Here's my 2 cents. 1. Unless you are planning to keep 10+ years, I wouldn't worry about the questionable break-in. 2. How badly do you want/need an ITS now? You will be able to get your spec eventually, probably at or below MSRP if you are patient. 3. While the accessories...
  17. Integra Type S driving Styles with Breakin Period

What's this? I loved the boost gauge on my Saab, the RDX not as much, but really missing it on my A-Spec. Can you show some pics of how it is integrated into the dash display?
  18. Price / Value Poll (2024 Integra Type S)

I'm not in the market for a Type S because my 6MT is in my sweet spot for performance. I'd rather have good mileage and miss out on the occasional desire for more power. Lots of talk about the M240, so I wanted to weigh in because I sold my 128i when I got the Integra. I'm not saying they are...
  19. 2024 Acura Integra Type S Pricing & MPG Fuel Economy Released! Pre-Order Begins May 11

Well then the Mazda is out. I think the GLI is pretty roomy, but I haven't sat in a Forte forever. I think the rear room in the Integra is among the best, but the low roofline and lack of rear HVAC bring down livability scores. Not saying it's a problem, but I couldn't give my in-laws a ride...
  20. 2024 Acura Integra Type S Pricing & MPG Fuel Economy Released! Pre-Order Begins May 11

A couple of other options I didn't see mentioned Besides a Golf, you can get a Jetta GLI with a six speed. I think it's a really nice package, but basically a Golf with a trunk. The Mazda 3 is available with MT6, but not with the 2.5 turbo. Kia Forte GT is available with MT6 Only the Mazda...
