Yeah but I wouldn’t go for the VN. I do love the VN but I feel like the interior should of had more soft touches.
Nah more soft touches wouldn't be enough to fix that plastic box lol
I don't like crossovers but Kona N would be my pick.
VN's just an overpriced relic at this point.

I'd 100% jump into a Veloster N if it weren't for the horrid interior. For that price (comparing not only other cars in that price point but even other Hyundai products at that price) it should be far nicer than it is. I want an interior at least as nice at my 10th gen civic.

I seriously doubt we'll see another veloster, I figure they'll cancel it in another year or two and that'll be it. But if for some reason they saw fit to do another... I'd definitely consider it if they fix the interior quality issue and kept the exterior styling interesting but not TOO overdone.
I only see a 3rd Gen coming as an N only model. Based on the fact we haven’t seen any spy shot of a 3rd Gen in Korea then I’d say it’s probably not going to happen.

Pretty much. Kona N is a great looker as well but it’s on an older platform compared to the Elantra N which has different equipment that the VN and KN can’t have.

We don't need to talk about the price, it's as cheap as Chevy Spark's ?

That is true. I never thought they'd introduce the N version this late in its production cycle. They waited for i20 and Elantra to be redesigned so I thought they'd do the same with Kona too.
I know Kona was going to be the third one from the very beginning, so maybe it got delayed? I don't know lol

Kona N does share a lot of updated features with Elantra N. I30N also received the same updates with its refresh.
VN is the ONLY one that's still using old 275hp powertrain. I'm sure this is the indication that it will be gone soon.

From what I was told back when we started to hear of the Kona N was that N was having a struggle with selling the idea of Kona N to Korean executives. Albert told the team to make a mock up Kona with the engine and all the N goodies plus the 8 DCT and then after the Executives saw it they green light it. The same pre facelift Kona that was spotted in Germany 2 years ago was the one Albert and his team presented to Korea which is another factor as to why the overall R&D price took a little toll on the final pricing where it’s sold compared to other N models. I personally think they should of waited for the 2nd Gen to make a full on N.

Not to bad even if the DCT comes in at 34k.
I dunno man… with the Integra starting at 30k an Elantra at 34k is hard to wrap my head around. Hyundai deserves credit for making some decent performance cars but interior/exterior don’t hold up well when compared to Civics let alone what the Integra will look like.

Around $30k. Realistically when Acura or Honda says that it’s around $2-3k from that estimate. You also got to remember it the N and not the base we are talking about. Integra will have around 200HP while the Elantra N has 276 HP. N logically goes against Type S.

Check this car beyond the power and price specs. You'll see some clever solutions borrowed from their rally/racing expertise.
- the reviews indicate an exciting car to drive and pretty fast (not CTR level of performance though)
- I love the design: it's bold, has personality, stands out just like the CTR
- the interior looks awesome, sporty and a bit elegant
To me this is car-porn. Congratulations to Hyundai for having balls to continue innovating and bring exciting products for different niches. Like this one for the enthusiasts(what Honda was doing in the 90's / early 2000s). Instead of selling wannabe sporty cars like most manufacturers do nowadays. Sadly Honda seems to be doing the same lately with Civic XI and Integra.

I own a CTR '19 PMM and a Sedan '19 1.5 M/T. The CTR will stay but I'm tempted to exchange the Sedan for the Elantra N. This car looks more special to me than the regular Civic X. Moreover there's no comparison to the bland Civic XI / so-called "Integra".

Really, does it even have to? The average US person is flipping out of a car every 72 months. So, 1-2 yrs after their 5-6 yrs of payments are up they are looking for another one.
