Just got my Canflex kit will probably get it install this weekend. My question is..is the flash from Hondata the same as what phearable offer? I dont want to pay $325 for phearable if I can flash with a "Hondata e85" flash and get the same result but if phearable is better then I'll go with that.

id get a custom tune, every car is different.

BUT theoretically they will work.

@JesterTuned is around that same price point for custom tune and logging.

not even close. the phearable stage 3 will get you to 400whp on e30. you can flash the hondata e85 tune just to ensure you set it up properly. i'd def say you are leaving a lot of table without getting a custom or stage tune.

Just got done installing the Canflex, will finish the flash tomorrow. Took her out for a drive and everything seems normal. My question is I have the Hondata app connected with the ethanol gauge loaded but it still shows zero. If everything is connected right shouldn't it read 10% enthanol? Or do I have to finishing with the flash before I get a reading?

it will show 0% until you flash an ethanol tune.

Appreciate the quick response!

As I'm reading through the Phearable instructions, its asking for the plugs to be gapped at .022. It's already at .026. Is .04 going to make difference if im not going crazy with the tune?

this is so you dont get 'spark blowout'. at wide open throttle if the gap is left too large the incoming air/fuel will drown out the spark giving you a misfire. if you misfire enough you could really mess something up.

you can buy a spark plug gap tool on amazon for really cheap or just stop by your local o-o-oreillys and grab one. im a novice myself and i did it pretty easily.

Finally was able to flash with phearable canlfex tune. Everything went smooth...kinda. I added a PLM downpipe with an extended o2 fouler and now im getting a cel. Pretty sure its from the downpipe but when I ran the diagnostic on the Hondata app it doesnt state there's an issue with the downpipe. Hopefully it'll go away after more driving.

i didnt need to do this with my RV6 catted downpipe but i believe you need to disable the 2nd o2 sensor.

Miscellaneous Parameters -> DTCs and uncheck the corresponding Bank 1 Sensor 2 error codes

Wait I can disable it myself?? More info please. Do I use Hondata flashpro on my laptop? Does it matter if its a phearable tune?
