Just finished installing a front/rear dash-cam setup that is hardwired. Just curious as to how any of you that have a similar setup wired the rear camera?

I have it currently running out the rear plastic trim by the rear passenger headrest and then straight across to the rear cam with a little slack for when the lift-back opens, but it looks kind of sloppy and I think the plastic trim will pinch the cable over time.

Pretty straight forward if you buy a fuse tap (so you're not overloading or putting another system at risk), just need to plug it in an always on source or a source that's on after start depending on your preference, or both if your dashcam requires it.

Fuse info can be found here https://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/pubs/OM/AH/B3S52323IOM/enu/details/131236047-16249.html

Door Lock (fuse 10) will be always on
ACC (fuse 45) will be on when running/in accessory
Ground would use whatever ground bolt is close to the panel
This is a fuse tap. Use these otherwise you risk overloading the circuit you tap into.
I have a 2025 integra and 45 isn't doing it for me, too weird.

Fuse 18 (15A) can be tapped for Constant power. That’s what I did to have Parking Mode active when I shut off the car.

Just make sure you plug it the correct orientation. lt took me an extra couple hours to realize that. If it doesn’t work one way, plug it the other way.

Well, it turned out my parking cable was defective so I am returning and I ordered and ODB II port. for power. What a PIA it was.

Im running Blackvue DR770X two channel, using the door lock fuse (#10) for constant power and ACC (#45).

Parking mode would work all night after work, but then it progressively became shorter. Now it pretty much announces parking mode on, and shuts down 5-10 seconds after. I have the battery protection setting set at the lowest level - 12.0V. Car is 2 months old, my commute is 15-20 minutes each way on the highway. Anyone else experience the same? Buying the extra battery pack freaks me out a little, especially in the summer heat.

DR770X in my wife's Corolla, also hardwired. Twice we've not driven the car for nearly a week, and the battery was drained. Kind of expected that would happen so nothing against the camera.

DR750S with battery pack for 4+ years in my FK8, and 2+ years before that in the Si. No issues, and had enough charge between drives that the car could go over a week without being driven, and would fire right up.

DR970X on the FL5 right now, haven't gotten around to installing a battery pack yet.
