Center Console Facelift w/ VViVid honeycomb pattern wrap and Acuity Poco shift knob

The poco knob is a big improvement. It brings the shifter down to a better level for me and just feels nice. I was afraid I'd be punching the surrounding trim but there's still enough space to shift comfortably. I sprang for the insulated one because my hand froze during my first test drive so I knew the metal had to go.

I was able to do the shifter base bushings at the same time without dismantling the whole console. The front left bolt was a pain since it's under the cable linkage, but I got a few clicks with a ratcheting box end, enough to get it done. Having small hands helped too.

Now to wrap that gaudy gloss black.

Looks great. Now that I've torn the console out a handful of times, it's really not all that bad. The biggest pain for me was installing the damn boot retainer. I could not keep the leather from bunching up using the zip-ties. I eventually settled with something that looked presentable.

I know what you mean. I have a little wrinkle right where my fingers rest that is a little annoying. I'll have to tweak it a bit, move the wrinkle somewhere I won't touch as much.

How does it feel with the adapter?

This honestly looks so sick, I actually thought about doing this too!
However, I was wondering if the seams between the hexagons made glare...?
Part of the reason I went to great lengths to cover up my dash and some of the other parts of my car was to reduce it - because it can be an eye sore after extended periods of time.

Best looking wrap for the piano black that I've seen yet. I've been putting off wrapping it because I haven't found anything I like, but I think this is it. Nice choice.

Might need to try this steering wheel now that i've seen a few people do it. Those smaller areas always give me trouble to get correct without it pulling away once the car gets heated up on a sunny day inside. Got the center console looking good in dry carbon wrap currently so it would be nice if it matched.

Dry carbon fiber wraps.
You don't need to remove your original parts. They can be installed easily using double-sided tape.
If installed correctly, you will not hear any popping sounds
