I would like to add additional side bolstering to the front seat bottoms particularly driver. Has anyone done this with the OEM seats keeping the existing Alcantara/leather combination? I feel with just firmer parts this would be a great driver seat.

Have not replaced the bolstering, but the cover is fairly easy to remove. The bolster is part of the foam bottom, so you'd have to choose a denser foam and cut the cushion, then replicate that same shape (maybe a bit taller). The challenge comes into how it would be supported so you'd likely have to glue a fabric or something like abs-type plastic to the bottom so it can support the new bolsters. Adding material on without removing material likely wouldn't have a good fit.

Thankfully there are no heating elements or anything else in the bolster area, and it appears they're so loose with the leather and clips, you could easily stuff an inch more bolster cushion in two directions.

It's doable. Expect 12-20 hrs of effort.
