Now to just figure out the jumper part. I get what you mean but getting the wire to stay in place is the trick. Do you have a picture of it?

All installed and working. Taking things apart was the hardest part as said in the comments. Awesome deal! Thanks for the assistance!

Yeah I stripped off a little of the wire coating for each wire, ran a small piece of a wire from a CAT5 cable across the two, wrapped it around both and then taped them up. Has been working fine since.

I didn’t feel like going this route so I am on the acuralink/myQ trial and actually like it. If you pay for 5 years up front the math comes out to something like $2.xx a month. I hate subscriptions but I don’t mind $2 a month. When getting within about 150 feet of my house a notification pops up on Apple CarPlay and can simply click to open. Just throwing up another option for those who don’t want to frankenmirror

Question, how did you get on this trial. Type S does not have Acura Link unfortunately, am I missing something here? Thanks!

Looking to do the jumper method since that seems to be the easiest and also reversible method. Any potential issues with this method over time?

It's been solid for a few months for me now. Worst case scenario you can always buy a replacement harness if something were to go wrong, but I highly doubt that would happen.

Nice, thanks guys. Looking forward to this. Always feel ashamed when I have to put the visor down with the garage opener in plain view ?
