Good evening,

Just purchased a '25 Integra Type-S, and am new to the forum. I plan on being VERY involved here as I am getting back into the JDM world. I was looking at the rear a/c vent conversion as I have kids that will complain all day about not having a/c on them here in Florida. I am looking to purchase the armrest with part number 83433-T43-J31ZA. I can find it a plenty online, however, everywhere I look, shipping is from $204.00 all the way up to $758 on one site. I found it on JDM Yamamoto for $86 shipped. Is that a legit site to order from? Also, does anyone else have a line on getting one with cheaper shipping?

Thanks in advance.

In the event you are not aware, the rear already has AC (ducts under the front seats); adding the rear AC vents just redirects a portion of the flow from under the rear seats to out the back of the rear console.

I am aware but I appreciate that. My twin boys run hot, and have to have it blowing in their face. There may be a point where I just tell them to suck it up and deal with it, but I'm not quite there yet.

Shop around. When I did mine last year I paid about $110 total on hondaautomotiveparts.com
x1 - 83433-T43-J31ZA Console Base
x1 - 83419-T24-T00 Console Base Mount Bracket
x2 - 90140-TR0-A01 Bolt Washer (5X25)

I also endup buying a used Type R lid on ebay for the lid bracket as Type S lid bracket doesnt fully bolt on to 83433-T43-J31ZA as its a little different.

$200+ seems pretty steep. I bought that part last summer from alldiscountparts for $74.20 including tax and shipping. Had to look around a few places though because it was on backorder and some of the dealers were just flat out canceling my order. I ended up keeping the lid from the Integra though and dealing with the slightly sticky opening/closing until I can find a used Type R one somewhere. Brand new is pretty expensive.

Be prepared to be frustrated with this mod! I did mine and the gap is a huge eye sore. Someone mentioned getting a Civic metal bracket for the spring mount. With that said it does work. Cool air does flow to the back nicely.

I'm probably one of maybe a few who completed this mod w/o buying the full rear a/c kit sold by mikstore...though I was able to get them to sell me just the splitter since that's not something you can just buy w/o buying a full heater core. So, if you want to know all of the Honda original parts I bought let me know.

Is it possible you buy this metal bracket without buying the whole armrest?
