A couple of the first drive articles indicate that the type s will be a 5 seater, but looking at the photos, it definitely looks like a 4 seater a la Civic Type R. It may seem silly but a 5 seater is a buy, a four seater is a no go. Had to sell my ‘18 CTR ‘cause me and wifey accidentally had twins. Whoops.

I am also needing 5 seats. What article did you read say it had 5? Also what photo shows the interior?

The aspec tegs has 5 seats. Why would they change the back seat design?

If they are going into production April time frame, then its very likely going to stay the same.

Interesting note, the Type R only has a passenger capacity of about 680lbs. Seems kind of low even for 4 passengers and cargo.
Normal Interga is 950lbs (might be slightly off), will the Type S carry over normal Integra or Type R capacity?

Why would they change it for the Civic Type-R? Alas, here we are.
Didn’t know they did for the civic. Interesting. Might be another unfortunate ding against the ITS. But would make sense as it would push people into the TLX-S.

Funny that the TLX-S has seatbelts for 3 in the back, but about as much leg room as the MDX's 3rd row.

That is likely due to the spring and ride height changes. If the Type-S sits lower it will likely accept less weight, even LESS weight than the Type-R as the hard likely has stiffer springs for the track. So I wonder if the ITS will ride a bit higher than the CTR but also have a little bit softer springs to balance it out.

swapping seats would probably work for the cushion ... the seatbelt might be the tricky part ...

Nope. I looked on ebay and there is a single mounting point for two buckles. Shoulder strap is in the seat. So swap is definitely possible.

Just fold the rear seat down. BOOM! 2 seat sports car!

Um. We are wanting 5 seats.. ctr has 4 seats and there are concerns with the S having only 4 seats. If I was after a 2 door it would be the dark horse or supra with manual.
