2026 A Spec - "Extended" Ambient Lighting?

Does anyone know what "Extended Ambient Lighting" is for the 2026 A Spec? I looked at some parts diagrams and don't see any different part numbers for the LED's in the door or console.

There doesn't seem to be a better description anywhere other than "Extended Ambient Lighting". Is there lighting for the rear doors now or adjustable color? Is it that they just made the Type S ambient lighting standard on the A Spec now?

From what I’ve gathered online it is just ‘extending’ the lighting to the lower trim ASpec without Tech package. I believe they also gave regular ASpec cars the bigger Tech screen as well. I was excited to see where else they’d put the lighting but alas

I did some internet searching, and it says that with the Tech package you get customizable colors, and that the ambient lighting matches the mode your in (sport, comfort, individual).

Ah ok; that’s cool! I wondering if you can pick the color of your choose when in individual mode

I did test drive a 2026 Aspec Tech but it was during the day, so I couldnt see the ambient lighting but I did see in the individual setting the ability to choose what color the instrument cluster would be. Like how the default for comfort is blue and for sport its red, and usually for individual its white, there was an option to change that color but I didnt select it to see if its a list of colors or its customizable.

On my 23 I had and now my 25, I can choose a color in the individual mode settings but it only changes the digital gauge outlines. I’m jelly if you can now also change the door trim pieces to coincide.

Agreed, my 2022 MINI Cooper S, can change all the ambient lighting to whatever color I want, and each mode had unique colors that all match up with the ambient lighting and on screen colors based on the mode you are in. So if BMW can do it why not Honda/Acura?

I can do it in my TLX Type S. Probably reserved for higher trim cars... (even if the TLX is no longer available)

The ambient light part numbers look to be the same for the 2026 A Spec as they have been in the past (with Tech or Type S). Maybe someone that has a 2026 can chime in. The description from Acura is so vague.

Changing the drive mode in the Type S changes the cluster colors too but the ambient light is white only.

Yeah and I know some Type S people have been swapping the white LEDs with the red ones from the Civic Type R. But I want blue.

I cant change the ambient lighting. I have a 2026 Integra A Spec 6spd
