  1. Gun metal F5's

my 19 inch F5's wrapped in bridgestone potenza's. Yeah, I am sure it would look smoother with some springs but not really sure I want to drop it any.. about to post this and I am thinking I should have taken a pic of the side.. These are +45 offset and match the side of the car beautifully...
  2. Dyno Numbers for TSP catted downpipe and PRL frontpipe.

There are a few following the build on my ITS so I wanted to add it here. I guess I also need to add in here that I am still on lock ECU with stock tune. I have installed the (cerakoted) TSP catted downpipe, PRL frontpipe, PRL rear motor mount, PTP turbo blanket and PTP lava blanket for the...

  4. Jack points and stands. for us Po' people

So, you need the car high enough to work under it, but you bought an ITS and now you're too Po' for a quick jack thingy or don't have access to a nice lift. (and frankly don't trust any shop in the area) Well, Harbor freight has you covered with some cheap ramps and jacks stands.. :headbang: I...
  5. Track insurance

Looking at track insurance for the next SCCA Track night I am going to and with 30% SCCA discount hagerty is $1297 for single night event.. 6. Anyone tried these Mishimoto universal oil coolers?

Just curious if these work on DE5 because the site shows they are for it but then it says application universal. I have found in the automotive industry that universal only means that it will fit more than one car but not necessarily the one you have.. Mishimoto Engine Oil Cooler...
  7. 1st Taste of the track

HPDE was all booked up so I just went ahead with the 10 lap event. Few intake bolts-ons but Tires, wheels and brakes/pads/fluid all Stock. I had ordered forged F5's with Bridgestone Potenza's (tires cheap enough I can wear down for the track style learning curve) but only 3 came in before...
  8. fuel mileage at 4K miles

So I normally have short drives and mostly city driving with the occasional detour to the highway so I can do a few pulls but this week I had to travel for work so my first road trip in which I filled the tank up twice in two days.. so since my break in period ended, I am usually getting about...

  10. Bolt-ons (No Tune) Dyno Tested..

Got the second dyno done with only my intake side bolt-on's completed. As I stated I am trying to video the installs, comparisons and results. While original intent was to dyno each part individually installed. This proved to be more challenging than just dyno time cost and scheduling.. So we...
  11. Anyone got a ticket in their ITS yet?

Okay so Maybe I go from 20 to 40mph a little faster in second than I should because I have nice shift rhythm into third at 40MPH dropping throttle that makes a reproduceable rhythm of one Loud POP and three cute burble, burble, burbles... Did that tonight downtown from a stop light to 40MPH...
  12. NO TUNE POWER ADDER?? HPS Charge pipes installed...

Another install for my ITS. This completes the intake side of the engine. (until PRL releases its HVI) dyno session scheduled for Monday the 29th to see the difference in baseline numbers with intake side bolt-ons only.. (obviously the engine needs to exhale as well) but wanted to dyno each...

I recorded the entire install from start to finish for my PRL titanium inlet. (compressed into 12 minutes with timelapse parts) Hopefully this will help any DIY's that have questions about the installation process. (I learn from my mistakes) also, my charge pipes finally arrived yesterday after...

Below is the install video for my PRL intercooler and front black emblem on my Type S. How to remove the bumper so you don't make the mistake I did and break a clip. Hope this helps the DIY'ers

  16. Baseline stock Dyno pulls before adding mods. (had issues)

So, I have decided to vlog my Type S build journey and my first video is below. This video and the upcoming videos are a twofold purpose. 1st. Hoping to get some decent "how to" videos on the parts I am installing. 2nd. Learning how to create content and edit videos primarily to learn as my...
  17. Magnetic oil drain plug.

Anyone used these? Seems like most are around 35 dollars but HPS has it for 20. Noticed this when I ordered my charge pipes from HPS. Although Mishimoto is a set with transmission drain plug too...
  18. Alcantara cleaner/protectant question

Anyone use a good product for cleaning/protecting the Alcantara suede part of the seats? I have looked into Pinnacle Black Label which has a Suede-Soft Alcantara Cleaner and separate protectant product. Sonax seems good but only has a cleaner and no protectant. Not sure about Chemical Guys total...
  19. Props from an Audi S4 driver

during an afternoon drive I encountered an Audi S4 driver that wanted to play. I didn't race him, but he blipped a few times and then I just followed him for a few miles before he slowed down to my side and gave the ITS a big thumbs up.
