Has anyone found an option for adding a soft-touch surface to the top-most section of the rear door panels?
It bothers me that this portion of the front doors was covered with a soft-touch surface but the rears just have hard plastic.
I did some searching last night, but couldn't easily...
I would assume Cobb / Hondata, which are both tightly restricted ecosystems, have avoided tampering with this. Maybe Ktuner will eventually offer an 11th gen solution (my understanding is their environment for the 10th gen was much less controlled). You could also pursue an M1 😂
The car measures incoming air prior to the blow-off valve. That calculation is used to determine appropriate levels of fuel, etc. If you don't recirculate the air from the blow-off valve, there will be a discrepancy between how much air the car expects to receive (measured pre blow-off valve)...
Thanks -- will buy a bunch (will be good to have them on hand, anyway).
Still happy with the Rockford Fosgate woofer upgrade? I am doing the hatch next, and Id like to do that while I'm in there if it's worth it.
Yeah, I think those are alright. I actually did those first, to align the panel...
Anyone know of an aftermarket alternative to the green panel clips with a higher force threshold? Or is it possible the green ones lose a lot of their retention ability once removed?
I've spent the last couple days working on improving the cabin acoustics / road noise. I've done the doors so...
3213 driver included!? That's surprisingly light. All you did was rip out the rear seats? I wonder how much they weigh... you have kilmat in the hatch / doors, too, right? Just running lighter wheels?
Can you provide a little more detail on the ride quality impacts of the RV6 setup? Did you do front and rear? What wheel / tire setup were you running? Part of me really likes the idea of the steering and caster benefits or the RV6 setup, and I'm willing to take a hit to ride quality, but it's a...
I agree with your sentiment re: how Honda has managed this car (and Acura in general), but specifically in the case of telematics and integration... I consider Honda's failure to include those features a bonus :)
My plan is to cover the hatch / floor / doors in butyl and a little closed-cell foam later this month when I have time. I've been waiting for some cool weather.
The "rev climb" has happened to me in the past, and I have a post in this thread (and posts elsewhere) attesting to it occurring. Having said that, I tried to re-create it last weekend, and I couldn't.
That, and the varying reports here, have me second-guessing myself. I am wondering if it's...
Yep! I'm sure it's a fantastic mod re: feedback / engagement for the driver... but I'm curious how friends / family feel about the prospect of riding along in the car now, haha.
Yep! My thoughts exactly. For $45... I'll take it.
I asked on the FL5 forums, but I can't seem to get any feedback re: extent of detriment to ride quality / daily drivability from someone who replaced the bushings altogether... and I don't want to be the guinea pig for that (especially because...
Nice... gonna give these a go, I think. There's a part of me that would love to throw sphericals in the front of this car, but I'm not ready to make that kind of commitment, haha. This seems like a cheap / easy enough first step on that direction (and it won't kill the ride quality either).
