I drove in about 3" of fresh powder this morning. Car did well on the wintracs and it was a lot of fun to toss! Zero traction "issues" but of course there's some wheelspin.
It's no audi q7 or BMW X7 on ice and snow tires (they basically act like it's dry out), but it's a lot more fun to drive...
If they will term the other lease early and penalty free then you're good to go.
Sometimes they will allow a trade up value with reduced (or removed) lease down payment cost on the new lease. Just depends on their inventory and how they're trying to move cars. It's winter now, so vehicles with...
I feel the opposite. Straight line traction isn't fantastic but cornering traction is great in snow and braking is solid. Any turd will eventually roll, but turning and stopping are key. For reference I'm on a vredstein wintrac pro and the car has been great over ice and up to 5" of snow.
I...
Good fit, Thanks for sharing!
With modern oils, 260F is honestly pretty good. Many oils can tolerate working temps up to 325F now without much shear. Cars today like thinner and hotter oil anyway, and I've seen several race engine builders running 30 weight and pushing target 295F.
Have you...
It's amazing a "performance car" came without a baffled pan and oil temp sensor in this age. There's no excuse for skimping there. A baffled oil pan is mandatory when doing track work. I got the wunderladen one that's waiting for me to make time to install it. I saw there's a dual oil cooler...
Google around for an "xl tire pressure to load index chart" and you'll get some good results to help illustrate the point. Take the original load index and psi and find the intersecting "load weight" that it identifies. Then find the load index rating of your new tire and follow it along until...
Sounds very interesting.
Really once I see what tuned iat on track at 95F looks like, I'm curious to see what direction I'll need cooling wise. Baffled oil pan and ball joints are next for me.
Have you gotten anything for reading oil temp? I'm a bit more concerned about oil and coolant before...
They still sent you a logod one? That's really annoying.
They apparently make the lightest intercooler next to oem, and they claim minimal impact to the rest of the cooling stack... What was so bad about the test of the experience for you?
I'm going to see what my iat looks like on track this...
The huf valves don't fit the oem sensor. The oem sensor uses a press fit style, rather than screw in style sensor.
You could use any other 433mhz sensor that takes screw in if you'd like to use the color matched huf valves. The huf ones are really solid.
That's correct. Lower is good, it helps with comfort. At the end of the day it's all about load rating. If you over spec tire then you need less pressure.
Yes you want the 19mm.
I went cheap... I rotate them a lot so they get inspected and replaced frequently... https://a.co/d/goGScN1
Winter covers to stop rust, https://a.co/d/ivGcGhE
It also has hopes, dreams, and fairy ball sweat for added lubrication zest. Don't forget that!
I legitimately think the real benefit here is their expanded weight scope being advertised as "okay".
I believe we're hearing and feeling the same kind of results (which makes sense since we've done very similar treatments). I do believe an amp and setting gain there to the sub will help "fix" some of the limited eq. I feel having the eq up on bass now is contributing to some muddiness from the...
I'm running an s24 ultra and pretty happy with it.
Honestly, I use my phone for a lot... I have multiple mfa apps for my day job and moonlighting, as well as for some personal stuff. I run teams and slack on it for work. On track I aggregate GPS, timing, tracking, and sometimes ecu data to it...
How are you feeling about your Rockford now that it's had some time to wear in the seals?
I was playing with my its setup/eq/settings last night when messing with my wife's X7. It doesn't have the clean punch the Harman setup does, but the els with the Rockford I finally feel is "good". Some...
I don't have any videos actually. I'm behind on uploading my track videos as well.
I'll look for some time during the holiday and post a few things up. You're right there aren't many good videos of the borla. The ones that do exist aren't really focusing on the day to day use. Ideally I'd love...
Better battery life is often the culprit of a lot of issues. Google gets aggressive about killing background tasks to save battery. You MUST make android auto and any apps you use with it (maps, Spotify, dialer, messages, etc) not battery saving or sleep capable.
I've had a variety of phones...
I don't mind the size variation as much as the style. I hate rolled tips like this, they just look cheap. The carbon ones look even cheaper to me and a bit too busy. I prefer something double wall, slash cut, angled edge, and most preferably resonated. Like ark tips 😅
Can't beat the sound though.
