I recall when people said that the CTR was produced in limited quantities compared to the ITS. ?

Any way we can get data on 2025s? Curious to see if so far there’s more or fewer than the 2024s

Only thing I can add regarding 2025 models is that November production VINS were up near 1470 when I was shopping in December. Those were the most recent cars reaching dealers at the time (I bought 0913, manufactured in October).

Interesting, both 1466 and 1468 at my nearby dealer are LCM -- confirms that they do batches in the same paint color like I've heard. I believe I heard they do about 50 at a time with the same paint color.

I thought it was 1500 of the same color per run. They make the type s in the same factory as other models. They suspend production of those, pump out 1500 in a single color and restart production of the other models again. This apparently cuts down on cost from having a dedicated factory for a low volume selling car.

Can't be that many just based on total 2025 production so far not even reaching 1500 yet and yearly production of only ~4000 for 2024. Savagegeese did a video and they said batches of 50-100 in the same color.

Hrm I can agree with the math. Every review I saw and read did say it was 1500 per run tho. These are also unofficial numbers so who knows….

Tell you what, I have 2025 #913 (Apex Blue), and the "batch" theory makes me want to track down #912 and #914 and see if their paint/clearcoat is as hideously bad as my car.

Considering the folks at Savage Geese toured the factory and spoke directly to the honda/acura folks, I suspect they're right with small batches. Seeing as how they only produced like 4k type s' last year, I doubt batches were at 1500. It would be like 3-4 months of only one color being shipped.

What's weird is my LSM is sub 300 but it only shipped from the factory October 2023. You'd think that they would have produced more than 300 before then.

Also, I have a PWP ‘24 model purchased in Nov ‘24. the door jam shows a build date of 3/24 and my vin ends in 2941.
