I used 3M automotive double sided tape.And, lastly... what did you use to secure these? You said you were procuring your own tape / adhesive because the included one was weak?

I also have that same one, it is great. Kit came with everything you need to install. One word of caution is to use the bottom-left "next/prev" buttons as your reference point for aligning the protector (I'm OCD about fitment...).
