I ended up getting a Type R as my FL5 allocation unexpectedly became available to me. However, I think the ITS will always be “cool” to car people, even at car meets frequented by owners of much more expensive cars. There’s really nothing else like the CTR and ITS with their combination of...
I’ve seen and sat in both interiors at the dealers. The black interior is incredible with the red contrast stitching. In the red interior, the red stitching is lost against the red pleather and that’s a shame.
White with black interior would be my pick, but we don’t get that combo in Canada...
Agreed that the FL5 wheel feels really cheap, and I’m considering other options too (either the FL5 alcantara wheel or the ITS perforated). Leaning towards alcantara since I don’t have sweaty hands, and it’s not a daily driver for me.
Not an odd request at all, IMO. Front plates are required where I am, but enthusiast vehicles of all different price points don’t have drilled bumpers here. Some owners leave the front plate off completely, some find alternate methods of mounting the plate.
Cops usually leave you alone unless...
No idea if it’s still the case, but I always thought new Miatas are quite expensive and always assumed they’re in-line with the USD conversion rate.
At the risk of hijacking this thread since I don’t have mine yet: I’m debating internally whether to get the Type S, or the 2024 Miata which will be the last pure-ICE MX-5. The Miata I can see myself keeping forever as a manual transmission weekend toy, while I daily something comfy and always...
I saw the ITS in white in person at Richmond and Burrard dealers, and loved how it looked from far away… almost enough to overlook the paint mismatch up close. But my preference for the black interior and the more rarity of the Apex Blue wins out. Enjoy your incoming Z, I’ve only seen one on...
Ah thanks for the info. I’m quite OCD too, so I think Apex Blue has become my preference now. Still unsure if I’d take Carbon or White when the time comes and I’m ready.
Got the call from my BC dealer that a white Type S is now available to me since the person in front of me backed out last minute, and I’m now first on the list. White, Carbon, and Blue were my choices, in order.
Unfortunately the timing isn’t right for me as I was expecting it in the winter or...
I was taught to park manual cars in first gear unless facing downhill, in which case it’s parked in reverse gear. When parked facing uphill, turn your wheels away from the curb, so that if it rolls backwards, the front passenger tire immediately catches on the curb.
Congrats! I believe it when they say “no more this year” after they receive their initial few. Same deal from my dealer, informing me that the next batch are arriving no sooner than “this winter”, which could be calendar-year 2024.
Mandatory trade-in (already a dealbreaker right there), forced accessories and protection packages, and no cash purchase (lease or finance only). I’m annoyed and disappointed that this wasn’t communicated to me when I initially placed the deposit/order with them, nor at any point afterwards...
Congrats, that red looks great. I also watched your entire video last evening and am happy to see a fellow long-time Honda fan acquire this car and be super-stoked with it.
Subscribed and looking forward to seeing and hearing about the incoming mods.
True, it’ll be kept as an “internal matter”. No good would come out of telling the customer anything except “we found it, here you go” or “we’ll order you new ones”
Would be curious to hear a follow-up, both in terms of the GM eventually replacing your missing parts, as well as the employee getting fired for it. Low-integrity and low-iq people don’t last very long with companies, and I bet that person is now sweating it and trying to dodge the witch-hunt.
